I stayed here with my family. It has a rustic atmosphere and all staff were really cordial. Dinner and breakfast was excellent! My grandmother used a wheelchair, but the elevator is too narrow to use it.

We stayed one night in this ryokan. The stay included dinner and breakfast. The room had a toilet and bath / shower. It also had a shared sento ( kind of onsen ). I'd recommend to take a light lunch before staying in this ryokan because the dinner is opulent. The hostess did her utmost best to make our stay... More

This hotel, i.e. Ryokan, is a quite nice to stay. Uchiko is a small town and torist sites are very packed. Matsunoya is nearby. It is very convinient to visit the sites from Matsunoya. The owner called okami is also friendly. Japanese breakfast is also yummy.

We stayed two nights in this hotel to visit the old town and Kabuki theatre in Uchiko. Perfect ryokan with tatami layout very central in town. The parking space is just across the street of the ryokan. Dinner is served in traditional Japanese style with lots of different foods. You can choose to have dinner in your room or at... More

The standard of the rooms are higher than most ryakons bathroom with shower and toilet is attached to the room! An Onsen facility is available in... More

The Matsunoya is a multi-generational family run ryokan. The building is older but very clean. If you want a traditional ryokan experience, this is the place to come. To start, each of the eight rooms has it own toilet and sink. The traditional, gender separated baths are down the hall and were very comfortable with a roof top garden view.... More

We have been in this ryokan in 2010 for our honeymoon. All the staffs were very kind even if they didn't speak very well in english. The interior of building seemed to me a bit old but very very clean and I loved so much cute bath with view. But the most important thing is THE FOOD! We still recall... More
