Stayed here on a business trip and I was assigned a twin room with a mountain view on the 5th floor of the hotel - the highest floor. The view at the lobby was really stunning - ceiling high glass panels to show the mountains!! They even have a tree in the centre of the lobby and the staff were...

You will be dissapointed as soon as arrive at the hotel. This hotel has a small swimming pool. And anyone who want to use it has to pay money. Outside sauna is tiny. The breakfast is nothing special.

This 5-star hotel is in a spectacular setting. Huge expanses of glass in the foyers and restaurants take full advantage of the views of the nearby mountains. Rooms are very large for Japan and really comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful, though virtually no English is spoken. Included breakfasts were excellent. Only disappointment was the restaurant. Dinner was very expensive...

It's like stepping back in time, Indiana Jones style but with luxury! The first thing I noticed when I got off the plane was the smell of pure clean fresh air! It really is an unbelievable experience. There are so many adventures awaiting you in this tropical paradise - species so rare, that they exist only in Yakushima or your...

Staff are super kind and professional. (Especially the staff of front dest/lobby and 1st floor coffee ship) Enjoyed big bath. Just a little far from the airport and the port. I'd like to go back again.

There are not many reviews written in English of this hotel so here goes: Booking was difficult. The website was a bit confusing and only seemed to offer rooms with full meal plans. JAPANICAN was similar. I ended up emailing the hotel directly and received a helpful response in English. A few emails later, on recommendation, I booked a Japanese...

And we thoroughly enjoyed that lunch. We had a number of small courses, possibly more western than Japanese, but the food was very good, the amount of food was just right, and the setting was great with a lovely view of the well kept gardens. There is also a shop which is worth a browse. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Having easy access to the trail leading up to one of the best waterfalls on the island was awesome. Seems like an older hotel however that hasn't kept up with the times (e.g. no Wi-Fi in the rooms). Very pricey restaurant also. For Japan, surprisingly small vending machine selection at and near the hotel.
