Very fully equipped kitchen, nice big terrace and two big showers.
We were there with children aged 4 and 6, who played hide and seek everywhere and were even able to use an almost closed-off area for ball games without disturbing anyone.
Elevators to every floor, many restaurants within walking distance. Playa de Cura has brownish volcanic sand, but also a freshwater rinse for your feet.
The only limitation: we had no air conditioning in October, which we easily compensated for with clever ventilation management.
The complex with six pools, a restaurant, a mini market and a bar has already been praised enough here.
Not for the infirm!
Don't go when Spanish have holidays as it packed with kids .
Best Apartment is P-1 ..has EVERYTHING even aircon and central heating ...very unusual there . Also on top and near pool for early swim .
Top furnished just need yr tooth brush .
October thru March busy but best time 25-33c or april may june as warm and very quiet .

The apartment we booked was supposed to be recently refurbished (Nov 2016), very nice, clean and tidy, with white fornitures. On arrival Joern welcomed us at the entrance of the complex, he seemed really nice engaging positively and giving us a lot of information.
It seemed a good start but we then discovered that one of the lift was out of order so we had to climb the mountain through endless steps with our luggage to gain access to the apartment.
The apartment was the number I-8.
Initially we didn't realise the accommodation wasn't the same we booked as it was night and we were exhausted for the climb, but then it became obvious that it hadn't anything to do with the one booked: old forniture, old bathroom, and a very poor cleaning. One of the most shocking things was a huge plastic garden wardrobe with all the owner's belongings placed as a bedside table just next to the bed. The bed had two ridiculous pillows that caused me a strong neck ache, and a "cardboard" duvet. In the balcony there was still a full ashtray. The fridge and kitchen cabinets were quite dirty and everything inside was messy, the kitchen tools pretty dirty as well. There was no dining table or chairs inside.
The day after we couldn't enjoy the wonderful view without getting disappointed by other upsetting discoveries. First of all we didn't need an alarm to wake up as there was a jack hammering wake up service provided by some builders working a few steps away from us within the complex at 7am. Then we said ok let's have breakfast on the gorgeous top pool bar so praised by Joern, the only problem was that it was closed for holiday for a month.
Two pools were also unavailable as under maintenance. I then went downstairs to try to get some food in the also much praised German bakery at the ground floor. Also in this occasion somebody forget to tell us that it was at half service and open just till 11am.
We then contacted Joern to find out what happened with the booked accommodation and he answered after a couple of hours with a banal apology saying that he didn't have other accommodation free as it was all fully booked (false). Still no explanations about what really happened to our original accommodation. After a complain with the provider he then became also a bit rude. He then showed us another apartment similar to the one booked but without awning (that was more than necessary as the sun was very strong) and also a superior apartment we had to decline as it was on the street level with view on the car park. We finally decided to stay in the same apartment after being provided some extra pillows a a new duvet, but still very unhappy for the other problems.
The thing that disappointed us the most was that Joern wasn't honest with us. He should have informed promptly of the accommodation change before arrival and avoid finding banal excuses once we complained about it.
It was my wife's birthday and we had to spend all day trying to sort out the problem.
We didn't hear or see Joern anymore, not even for the checkout. That was also a lack of professionalism and a very bad customer service.
Unfortunately the wonderful viewing won't be enough to compensate the memory of a disaster stay in this apartment.
Everything totally perfect in this apt. Even got 4 bottles of great wine on arrival in huge fridge .
Only one I saw with a/con. You needed nothing and got BBC AND I TV so didn't miss soaps also 40 Germany etc Channels
IMMACULATE. + SUPER marble shower.
RIENERT.
I travelled solo and stayed from 15th December through till 29th December 2017, a very welcome two week Christmas break.
I had seen the photo's and read other people's reviews and was very excited to see if this professed balcony WAS private. It has been my travelling wish to find 'That Perfect Private Space'! I have to say that I have now found it. Spectacular bliss and one hundred percent private. You are at the very top of the complex and very close to the 3rd and final lift, this is a bonus as you also have the tennis courts, a bar and the very top swimming pool at your fingertips too.. not to forget the all important bins! (no one wants to be self catering and not have the bins nearby!)
Why did I want 100% seclusion? Well, to me it is all about being able to relieve yourself of your bikini top and not have to worry about shocking your neighbours!!! I have found my 1st ever dream holiday home and have already booked again for April 2018 and I am hoping to get back there for this coming Christmas. FACT - if I had the money I would purchase it! Look out Paul! lol
The apartment has everything you would need... even sugar in the cupboard and clothes washing detergent by the washing machine... knifes, forks, all sizes of plates, glass wear and mugs, coffee making machines and a posh toaster. All modern items. There is nothing missing, not even the wine bottle opener. It is a very bright and clean apartment with a posh marble and glass block shower area... power shower with about 8 little separate shower heads, the trick was to work it! Once configured I left the settings and just operated it by the hot water tap. Everything is plush, from the cushions on the huge L shaped sofa to the luxurious bath towels, bed linen and HUGE Super King size bed. It is about a foot deep and is pure memory foam. Hard to get onto and even harder to get out of! There is a ceiling fan too! I loved the blackout drapes in the bedroom and lounge, brilliant for keeping the apartment cool during the day and blocking out the sunshine until you are ready to get up!
The fridge freezer is massive as is the brand new 4k LG Flat screen TV. All the channels you need including many English ones + movie channels too. Home from home especially with the newly fitted TP Link modem enabling you to hook up via wifi or directly with an Ethernet cable for a seamless static connection. If internet connectivity is your thing then this is the apartment for you. It is fully functional and reliable.
When I arrived at 6pm I took the lifts back down to ground level and walked down the steep hill, passed by the irish bar and into the Spar shop. It is a good sized supermarket with everything you need. If you spend over 30 euro's they will deliver it to you and if your like me and miss the delivery they will leave it outside your door for you. They come back and collect the containers at a later date, you only have to leave them outside your door! Perfect for me as I had limited walking abilities at the time.
I never attempted to walk back up the big hill to the apartment as it is very steep, instead I took a taxi (right outside the spar shop) to the reception door for 2.60 euro's! Perfect! The taxi drivers are friendly and very frequent.
I only went down the hotel restaurant twice and once to the Tapas bar which is next to it. The restaurant itself is next to a huge pool that is stunning in the evenings, lit up by blue lights. If you are a steak lover then you MUST try the fillet steak. A keen traveller in search of a good steak I was dubious at first (ordered medium rare) but from the first taste I was wowed! It was like velvet, melted in the mouth and came with scrumptious home made fries, salad garnish and champagne mushrooms .. creamy and very moorish. To complete my order I went for the Rose Rioja wine... and again I was wowed! I never knew that you could get a Rioja wine in Rose. I ordered a bottle for 12 euros to take out! From the tapas bar I ordered fish meatballs which I fell in love with and a tuna and garlic pizza! Loved all of my treats! The restaurant and the tapas bar are on level one.. ground floor is reception.
In all of my two weeks there I only ever saw reception open once.. and during my stay the very top lift broke for two days... two days of steep steps that had me exhausted!
Below the apartment in P3 lives a lovely lady called Pam. Pam looks after the apartment and is the cleaner. Pam is your go to girl if you need any help or information. Thank you Pam for all the helpful information xx
Thank you to Paul (the owner) for maintaining this apartment to such a high standard. Your efforts are very noticeable and your apartment is the talking point for all at Monsenor. This is the best apartment I have ever stayed in and I have been travelling for 30 years!
All the best for the New Year - see you all in April 2018!
