I stayed for a week and found the apartment comfortable and clean. The linen was only changed every second day and some of the fixtures were a little creaky BUT this is a SUN destination and the apartment was only used for sleeping. I found the staff to be friendly and fluent in english. OK the restaurant was closed but within a 60 second walk there are 6 restaurants, one of which provided us with the best meal we had during our stay. The pool, whilst not heated was clean and the view spectacular.
For a short stay I found Paraiso Club very acceptable.
Two star!
That’s about it really!
Situated in a quiet cove there’s just 3 bars, 5 restaurants, a supermarket and a dirty gravel beach. If you like to do nothing all day but lounge around a pool then maybe this is for you! A few years ago I understand that there were great plans to develop a Marina and the beach had golden sands! Dreams I presume, or just an attempt to raise the property prices.
Our apartment was reasonably clean, and reasonably well equipped although smelt a bit musty. Most if not all were south facing with sea views. There’s a swimming pool with pool bar and a mini market in the hotel. This hotel has no life or personality what so ever.
Puerto Rico is a couple of kilometres away and easily reachable by taxi (€4-€5) or bus (€1.20) and there’s a wonderful beach at Amadores halfway to Puerto Rico.
This accomodation will only ever be used as 'AOA' as I can't really imagine they would persuade you to go otherwise. For that reason it's probably not worth dedicating too much time to this article which will probably only be read when all those AOA people have already returned home.
Would I go back? Not through choice, but happy to if very cheap.
The beds was terrible and the cleaning was so terrible. It was black around the bathtub and on the floor. And it was only a very small handbroom to take up something from the floor. Nothing to wash with or wacum with. So when we left it was so much dust etc. because it was not been cleaned properly.
And it stays that it is a full inclusive hotel and it is something to do every dayon the pages ----
But there was nothing. The restaurant was closed and so was all other things too.
And the pool was so cold and they did not clean it for at all for those 28 days we was there. And it was gals around the pool and sunbeds too. We tried to tell them where and to take it up. but they did never clean all up. I got glas in my foot once. So we had to go in shoes around the pool.
And when we should try to talk with the personal at the hotel, they did not understand you. And we can speak properly English. And the nightpersonal was sitting and sleeping in the hall during the night.
So if you want to go have a good holiday. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL.
The apartments themselves were nothing short of stifling, we were there in September and we literally could not sleep with the heat. Our apartment featured some unexpected guests, at least three cockroaches from memory, and what's more they didn't pay rent!
Pool area passable, but with cold, dirty water. Rude, spanish staff who insist on taking your passport.
The bar looks more like a dungeon, and was actually creepy. Absolutely depressing place to have a drink.
House keeping patchy at best during our stay - no clean towels some days.
All in all, never again. A two key holiday, and we were only too happy to give our keys back at the end of the week. Lesson learned. My advice - Spend €100 more to rise above the bottom rung of the ladder.
The staff were pleasant and friendly.
Don't get me wrong the hotel is ok and will suit families more than couples.
It wouldn't be the first hotel know my list to re-visit but it wouldn't be my last!
