We have just returned today from spending 10 days at this lovely hotel. All the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and they work tirelessly to ensure their guests are looked after.
It’s a relatively small, quiet hotel but the facilities were more than adequate. Nice little gym, spa and a lovely restaurant. The poolside bar served lovely snacks and a gorgeous area to shade away from the sun. We were B&B and the breakfast was great, everything fresh and plenty of it. We didn’t eat any other meals there so can’t comment on those.

Never any problems getting sun beds, even later in the day, none of the crazy rush of the bigger hotels, even in peak season. The pool is absolutely gorgeous, small but not busy and a lifeguard on duty from 10am to 6pm. And the lift down to the beach was such a lovely addition and we used this a lot.

But the real plus for us was the room, I can’t even describe it as a room….it was huge! We travelled with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and had booked the 3 bedroom suite. Each bedroom was massive with it’s own bathroom, lovely huge living room and kitchen and a wrap around balcony where we spent many evenings watching the sun set and enjoying family time. And enjoying the beautiful sea view. The kids had their own space, which was welcomed by all!

The area at the bottom of the hill was adequate for a quiet night out with a choice of about 5 restaurants and a good sized spar shop. But most nights we took a taxi into Puerto Rico which cost around €5/6 each way and loved the vibe of that area.

I honestly couldn’t fault our holiday at all and we have loved every second. We would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, chilled holiday.

Thank you Riviera Vista for a very special family holiday that has left us with wonderful, happy memories 😁😘

Just returned from 11 nights at this wonderful hotel. If you are looking for entertainment, local noisy bars, group holidays or local shopping DON’T GO. This hotel is a break from the norm; small town, plenty of sun beds, lovely swimming pool, friendly staff, free wi-fi, amazing views, quiet and relaxing; a place to switch off. After reading previous reviews we asked for a 6th floor room away from the lifts and had an email response the same day. Our room was a junior suite on HB. Could not complain about the food, and there are a few restaurants down the bottom of the hill and one bar which plays major sporting events if needed. The Spar shop is well stocked. The buses run frequently and this is the cheapest and easiest way to travel; Porto Rico 10 mins, Puerto De Mogan 20 mins, Maspolomas 25 mins. Porto Rico and shops and loud bars if that’s your thing, but we preferred Mogan (Friday market amazing) and Maspolomas sand dunes and relaxing bars near the beach. Turn left as you exit the lift to the beach and clamber over the rocks to Tauro beach or continue on to Palya Del Anadonres beach with sunbeds and bars/gift shops, easy walk. Definitely would return.

Hotel Riviera Vista is a gem. It has a perfect location, very friendly staff, and nice clean comfortable rooms. We had a car and made daily trips but you can easily just stay here without your own means of transportation because a bus stop is 5 minutes down the hill and buses take you everywhere you want to go. The hotel has its own lift down to the beach, be sure to try it out.

I had a disappointing experience at Hotel Riviera Vista. Despite its historical charm, the strong unpleasant odor in the bathrooms and subpar food left much to be desired. The manager's lack of consideration and refusal to address concerns, like offering a downgrade when requesting a room change, added to the frustration. I strongly advise those accustomed to clean and well-managed hotels to avoid being scammed at Hotel Riviera Vista. Despite any historical appeal, the issues with bathrooms, food quality, and a dismissive manager make it an unsatisfactory choice. The only silver lining was the commendable staff who somehow managed under such challenging management.

We lived in a junior suite which is like a dark bunker with a smell of damp except for when the cleaner has drowned it in chlorine. The beds are hard and the pillows are very small. My son slept in the sofa bed which was like a mattress on the floor. Almost no furniture. Not equipped for three people with too few chairs. Two of the windows are to the corridor and you hear everyone passing.

Apartment one bedroom as advertised on the picture when you book was finally a big room with 3 beds. We kindly asked the reception to relocate but they pretend that the hotel is full and that they don't have the booking system of the hotel in their hands.
The manager is not available, neither physically or by phone since 4 days ...

Probably didnt do enough research before booking, but this hotel is at the top of a steep hill. My husband struggled to walk it.
Very nice hotel, & very pleasant, helpful staff.
Don’t go there if you want night life. There is no bar or entertainment. There are 4 bars/restaurants at the bottom of the hill, but all closed on Mondays. One has live music at the weekend.
Also, there are no English channels on the T.V.
The beach has no facilities, ie. no toilets or refreshments.
Not too impressed with the food. Lack of choice & no labels to say what the items were, breakfast always tepid. Also thought the towels were poor. So thin! Good shower & hot water
Lovely pool & pool area.

We have stayed here twice in the last year, each time with our children and our eldest son has since returned with his girlfriend, the rooms are amazing, clean modern with great air conditioning. The cleaning and reception staff are amazing and work hard to keep everyone happy. I have to be honest and say that we have found the restaurant and pool bar staff rude both times we have stayed unfortunately. However this doesn't spoil our holiday. The pool is lovely with great views of the beach and bay below, plays del cura is quiet which we like with a goose shop, beach and a few bars all nice, not far from Porto Rico if you want something more lively for about 5 euros in a taxi , we will stay again most definitely.

Me and my boyfriend visited this hotel over the Christmas period and it was amazing from the start. There was a very friendly and helpful gentleman at reception who was so pleasant. The hotel was spotless and stunning. The sea view from our balcony was unreal. We are already planning on our next trip here. The location was perfect and very quiet which we loved. 5 minute drive to purto Rico where there were lots of bars and places to eat. Hotel was a 11/10

The view from the room is absolutely incredible, watching the sunset every night. The AC in the room works perfectly, the beds are perfectly fine. The possibility to take an elevator down to the sea is wonderful! The range of tools in the kitchen was poor. Really recommend this hotel for peace and quiet.

There is a cafe and a SPAR just a 5 min walk from the hotel. You can also add on breakfast when you get to the hotel. Just advise them the day before. Personally I walked down to spar for croissants and fruit and enjoyed them on the beach in the morning as it’s very peaceful and quiet.
