The hotel is, just like the oldish name, completely in traditional style, with old wooden panel doors, black and white tiles on the floor, classic hinges and locks, a fireplace and comfy chairs in the cognac room. The rooms are spacious with views on the garden, the night is really very quiet and dark. Fortunately, no television nor coffee and...

Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans. The original intent was Ireland, but somehow that morphed into Westervelde, to the north of Holland. I learned of the place through a newspaper article and that old-school way of finding a place to stay is befitting for the type of hotel De Jufferen Lunsingh is. This is a place...

The breakfast was good and served with a smile. If you do not want to drive after diner, stay in the hotel,...

We stayed in this hotel (actually an old mansion in which three (or 5?) sisters Lunsing lived in the late 18th century) for one night during our cycling trip in Drente. The house is very nice. Nothing pretentious, just solid old-fashioned style and charm. The hotel has a room to read, for having brandy, a room with a fire burning,...

I have traveled to Holland several times for business and do whatever I can to stay at the Du Jufferen. If you like old B&Bs and quiet this is it. The original house is hundreds of years old and very well maintained with the latest of modern amenities - without extra charges for everything. The service is excellent - they...

“There are "new" rooms on the end of the first floor - very bright and spacious. The older rooms have the charm of the old country inn. I will try to post pictures soon to assist you in selection your room. The entire inn is very quiet.”
