When looking on the website you would think Sandycove was going to be delightful! But it wasn't. When we were taking to our room the receptionist forgot to tell us about the working of the electricity! So we had to phone down to ask. Our towels were stained. The bathroom mirror a a huge chip out if the corner. The...

We booked for a family room (2+2) in a superior with sea views, well we certainly got that! room was huge and the view was priceless. would have liked a lift but got the kids to help carry stuff, room was clean although housekeeping team need to deep clean occasionally (coving and skirting boards!) breakfast was tasty but service slow,...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and have taken your point about service up with the Restaurant Manager. We do have free WiFi available throughout the public rooms, it is not supposed to be available in the bedrooms although some rooms do manage to get it, but are very...

This hotel is placed on the edge of a huge cliff overlooking the sea. The view from the hotel is beautiful. The pool is ok, could do with a deep clean. The restaurant is ok too, but beware they try to sell you the expensive 'a la cart' menu, when you can infact just have the bar menu instead. (I...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do take all feedback seriously and have taken your points up with the various heads of department. The room that you were in has however been let all summer and is a standard non-seaview, so therefore our most budget room. The bedding in the room was new white hotel...

The view is stunning, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean. However, we will never be going back to Sandy Cove. We found blood stains on our sheets, the wifi doesn't work (despite Richard telling me that it does!) and the service in the restaurant is amateurish, at best. Also, on setting our final bill, there were...

After driving through the less than inspiring town of Combe Martin, it was with some trepidation that we approached the Sandy Cove hotel for a three night stay, half board, during Summer. We had two connecting rooms which was excellent with three small children. Breakfast was good and dinner was very good. The hotel has a certain charm. It is...

This was our fourth visit and we love it. There is a mixed age range of people at this hotel. We had a lovely welcome when we checked in and were offered help with our luggage. Our room was lovely, we had a superior sea view this time. The food was great as always and the staff also. Were sorry...

We stayed in rooms at the back of the hotel numbers 19 and 20. They have NOT been renovated and I've attached photos. They are not very nice rooms at all, very grubby and not even a 3star level. The children's room had curtains that fell off the rail and we reported it but it was never fixed. The digi...

We have just returned from a 4 day stay at the Sandy Cove Hotel. Our stay overall was pleasant and after having read many of the reviews below before our arrival, I would describe the hotel to be as I expected. The location is fabulous, the view from our sea front window was fab, and staff were friendly-ish. However the...

My first trip to Sandy Cove for a business meeting, lovely place and lovely owners. The terrace area offers some spectacular views and it really is such a calm escape and certainly an area I would love to come back too- for a short break this time! Just a shame it was a short visit but definitely shall be back...

We stayed here recently on our way to Cornwall and have to say were disappointed with everything except the view (although the receptionist when I was checking out was very nice and friendly) Most of the staff looked completely disinterested and could barely raise a smile, and the food was dreadful. My husband had Slow Roasted Pork Belly and it...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do take all feedback very seriously and have had meetings with the heads of department.
