This hotel could be a good one. But the management is curiously disappointed that you are there and bothering them. The male manager was somewhat helpful...the lady manager was extremely unhappy that we were there...I mean she really seemed to be upset that we were there, interfering with her day.

We arrived in late April, when most hotels were closed. There was no one at the front desk. A sign told us to go to the restaurant. The "host" couldn't have been more rude. We asked about the room and he told us it was 130 Swiss Franks. There was no one there and it was off season. We asked...

Really noticed how clean our bathroom was. Looked new. Very insulated windows so no street noise. Hotel located right along street. Nice balcony. Checkout is WAY too early at 10am. In fact at checkin they just handed us the key without saying anything in English. That would have been a good time to tell us. We showed up at breakfast...

This quaint hotel is convenient for those interested in heading to Zermatt. We checked in early (~9am) and, thankfully, the lady at the front desk spoke English (I only speak a few words of German). My husband and I headed to Tasch to take the train to Zermatt where we started our hike to Hohbalmen. By the time we got...

We stayed at hotel Ackersand for a week, taking trips for hiking every day. The location is ideal for summer tourism, as it's reasonably close to many major starting points, without having to pay the premium price there. The hotel is located right next to train track and city road, but the noise from trains is really not that bad,...

Stayed one night in May 2007. We showed up without reservations about 10pm one evening. We drove around in the dark and this hotel’s lights were still on. This is just a few minutes driving south of Visp on the road to Zermatt. Nice, friendly, staff mostly spoke German. Some French and some English spoken. Nice German style breakfast included...
