We had made a reservation through Booking.com several months earlier. When we arrived with our booking confirmation number, we were told that our reservation had been cancelled. No explanation. They did offer to help us find another hotel, but when one is tired and looking...More
This place has a wonderful location in the town. We went there because the departure point for a cruise had been changed from Valparaiso to San Antonio. The staff was very friendly and spoke pretty good English. The lunch we had on site was superb...More
The hotel sits on a hill about 2 blocks above the San Antonio Harbor, offering great views of the port and vast ocean views. Unfortunately, the cute little cottage-like cabins are in need of upgrades and general maintenance. Nothing that should prevent you from staying...More
When it was new that hotel was probably cosy and good looking. Unfortunately it hasn't been properly maintained and refreshed so that it's not really clean. The breakfast room is rather sad. Yet the view on the harbor is excellent. Easy parking.
ThIs was a business trip and just about the only hotel available to suit the requirements at the time. To be fair the room was quite comfortable and I slept well. There is wifi available although the speed does vary. Now and again the power...More

You may walk to the cruise port if you want to drag your luggage, and don't mind the heat. It is only about 1.25 miles (2km) away, primarily downhill (steep in some spots) then a long flat walk. You can follow the sidewalk or take the steps. Steps save a lot of walking, but if you have luggage, it could be several trips. There is only one major street to cross, and there are traffic lights at the crosswalk.
The hotel can arrange a taxi for you and it's really cheap. I'm a hiker myself, but still choose the taxi. It just isn't worth the effort for the cheap and easy taxi ride.
