Unfortunately, when we were here all of their rooms were booked, but if they weren't i definitely would have stayed here.

Wi-Fi works well. Hot water less well, it's luke warm but serves its purpose. Room was very basic, just a mattress on the floor and a shared bathroom with western toilet. Not the cleanest bathroom I've seen but things like that don't worry me. To...More

If you don't have the time and want to save the hassle, just ask any travel agency or hostel in Jogja to help you book the private transport service (basically its a private car that picks up max 7 passengers) for 75.000 per pax and it picks you up from the hostel and drop you in Wonosobo anywhere. Super convenient, comfortable and time saving. Especially if you have luggage this is good since public buses can get very squeezy.
From wonosobo to dieng, take a public bus but do note buses mostly only leave when it is full. I was told that prices have gone up and it's 20.000 per pax now from Wonosobo to Dieng.
