We only had breakfast here but we were super impressed. They were the only restaurant open at 7am in the area and we had to get breakfast at 7am before our snorkeling trip .

We ordered the full english breakfast for 55k and wow what value for money! The breakfast is a big portion and the taste is really good for Indonesian standards , you even get butter and jam for your toast which we found was rare in Bali . You also get a juice and coffee or tea included in the price . The fresh orange juice was the best I had so far in Bali and the coffee pot they serve coffee in actually gives you 3 coffee servings , not just one . So our total bill for two delicious breakfasts were only 110k , no added taxes or service fees . This is a bargain for the quality food & service we got .

We happily gave our waiter a tip because we were so impressed with the friendly service and good food , they definitely need some more appreciation .

I highly recommend you try them out , they also have a pool that you can cool down in which is a bonus .

I loved my stay in this bungalow, the room was perfect, very good bedding with mosquito net, the very pleasant semi-open bathroom, only downside: I heard the neighbors doing their business, it is very poorly soundproofed. I paid €35 for 3 nights on site by card at the massage parlor opposite which I was able to try and loved! Water is put in the fridge every day, in September 2022, work was taking place at the restaurant so we had to eat further away. I recommend !

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dream Beach Kubu…Great location within a few minutes easy walking distance to Devil’s Tear, Dream Beach and Club and Sandy Bay Beach Club ++.
Our rooms bungalows were immaculately clean, perfect QS size bed with netting, aircon, small fridge coffee/tea making facilities and lovely semi-covered open air bathroom (covered enough to protect from rain) and shower. Could see ocean in the distance and just wonderful relaxing each afternoon on the shaded verandah catching breezes listening to waves. Pool was a great size and well maintained. Breakfasts amazing…
All staff were very attentive and prompt with any requests and assistance. Special thanks to young Tarek for making us feel so welcome, watching over us and making our stay so special…Without hesitation, we will certainly return…

Bad experience. It’s far, but far from being a 3 star…
Our non-exhaustive list of criticisms: stained sheets, tiny bungalow (impossible to open 2 bags), stuck to the neighbors who we could hear coughing, no sea view, tiny swimming pool but above all really overlooking the street.
The only person who takes care of reception speaks 2 words of English “thank” and “you”…
But the worst of the worst was the restaurant: 1h30 to get our 4 dishes, and of course not at the same time…
We changed hotels and ended our stay at the Dinatah, incomparable for a few dollars more and: large, good, clean bed, breakfast included, 24m2 bungalow, free bottles of water and replenished every day, 2 small swimming pools…

The restaurant should be avoided at all costs. An inefficiency rarely seen in the service. Twenty minutes after ordering, we were told that they did not have the ingredients for half of the drinks and dishes ordered. We had to wait an hour to receive our dishes which were really not plentiful and had no taste. No apology from the servers which is quite annoying.

When we first arrived the hotel staff told us that our booking wasn’t registered and wanted us to pay although we had payed and booked with a large agency in Europe. They said that the agency weren’t legit. The women in the staff didn’t know much English and didn’t treat us nicely. They didn’t smile. We had bird poop in our bed. The whole mosquito net we’re full of poop. There must have been holes in the ceiling.

We were a party of nine people. It took a really long time to get the food. That would be okey if they prepared the food while we waited.
But two courses were cold, the rest were wrong in various ways. None of the courses were tastefull.
My recommendation is: Do not eat here.

We waited for almost two house for our simple lunch.

The food was cold, the potatoe wedges were raw. The staff was not present, not interested.

Worst restaurant we visited in Bali. Please avoid.

When I commented the poor quality, tine, cold food, all we got was a shrug.

Thet could not care less...

We arrived at Kubu around 3pm without having had lunch so we were disappointed that there was no food offered and wouldn't be available until 7pm, so we had to venture out and found food at Dream Beach Hut nearby. At dinner, we were told the service would end at 9, and as soon as the clock hits 9, the staff practically snatched the glass that my boyfriend was drinking the last sips of his juice from. It added unnecessary stress to the dining experience.

The bungalow was quite nice with a seating area downstairs that allowed us to chill and also a hammock, but very little lighting both in the rest area and in the room so I couldn't do as much reading as I wished. Wifi is also poor. You can hear the ocean at night as well which was quite an unusual experience and we enjoyed that.

Two incidents happened that made our stay a lot less comfortable although the hotel cannot be blamed. One was the repetitive playing of a singing/chanting music in the neighborhood for two nights until midnight and started again in the early morning, which turned out to be a religious music played before Ngaben, the Balinese cremation ceremony that was a big deal to the island. We were respectful of the culture but the music sounded creepy sometimes. Another incident was a lot more disturbing - we were woken up multiple times in the middle of the night by what sounded like a rat in the room and did turn out to be rat in the room, who chewed up a hole in everything edible and actually took away a pack of snacks. It made us very uneasy to think we were just sleeping in the bed and the rat was literally two feet away having a great time. But I guess that is what you get for choosing to stay in a bungalow = nature. #citygirl

The spa was OK, but our group was half an hour late and had to have one treatment canceled. The staff didn't speak much English so they appeared quite rude trying to explain to us how our lateness had contributed to this result. Overall, the staff seemed nice people but lack proper training and sometimes seemed like they'd rather be doing something else.

Dream Beach itself is very beautiful and the location is great for those who want to be away from noise and the crowds, but still relatively isolated so if you didn't hire a scooter, it can be trouble to get around.

Seems lovely at first. And the setting is. But the staff are difficult, and begrudging if you ask for anything. And we don't ask for much, not high end holiday makers by any means. Toilet was blocked, so I had to fix that as they never did. Can't order food outside of listed hours, which is fine, except the owner says you can - but staff won't if he's not about. If you need anything done, ask the owner. Very helpful. But poor staff make it a not so easy place to stay. Not the worst, though. Just better places around.
