We stayed in bungalow 211, which was outward facing with partial island and ocean view. We highly recommend 211 or 213 for privacy and if you can afford it, the Bougain Villa Bungalow which is in between 211 and 213, and is a lot more luxurious. We stayed 7 nights with 1 guaranteed Sipadan permit. Mr Ben (resort manager) was nice enough to help us get 2 more Sipadan permits, so my husband and I got to dive Sipadan 3 times! It was amazing and amongst some of the best diving we have ever done. Huge schools of jacks, barracudas, bumphead parrotfish, plus reef sharks, lots of turtles and a frogfish! Locally to Mabul and Kapalai the diving had some interesting features, but paled in comparison to Sipadan. Staff were lovely and Malik (the bartender) made a good pina colada. Food was…
This is my second diving trip at Sipadan . Mabul water Bungalows makes my trip more wonderful. Even June is not d best time for diving. Water not so clear. But still worth to go. Lovely room on water. Spectacular view every moments. Nice staffs. I'm sure will be back again.
The bungalows on the water are spacious, clean and a retreat from civilization (except there is electricity, satellite tv, hot showers......) The staff could not be nicer. Be careful getting a dive master intune with you. The Sipidan diving is amazing. The snorkeling around the resort amazing. You will use and reuse the word amazing. Everyone is tired by night, so don't count on a disco. But thats ok, the next day is sure to rock you.
Stunning place. The most crystal clear water you can imagine and beautiful marine life to view whether you dive or just snorkel. Staff are very friendly and the buffet food is delicious. Drinks are expensive but not overly so. We stayed in one of the honeymoon villas which was simply breath taking. A glass bottomed living room to view the marine life and a private balcony to relax on! Would definitely recommend!
We stayed from 29 May to 3 June 2016 and we took one diving package and non-diver package. On our day of arrival we were picked up from the Airport together with another couple and heeded straight to the Jetty, the combi van ride was about 90mins. Upon arriving at the Jetty we greeted by another staff to board the boat, about 30mins later we reached the resort and were greeted by the friendly staff to have a welcome drink and to have our lunch first (which is included in the package) before doing the paperwork for check-in. Our Water Bungalows number was 212, the view was beautiful, room is clean and well maintained. Standard bathroom amenities was all there, except that there is no conditioner, so please bring your own. WIFI in room is not good at all, lucky for us we bought a…
