We stayed here as were decided to go to river cottage on our way to Cornwall. We arrived to see a beautiful house, and the good impression didn't stop there. After a brief show around the ground floor which included breakfast room, lounge and honesty bar we were showed to our room. The room was lovely and the bathroom something...

We stayed here for a trip to River a Cottage HQ and could not have chosen anywhere better - Fiona is an incredible and very welcoming host - rooms are scrupulously clean, luxuriously equipped with everything one could possibly want and the breakfast was fantastic - highly recommended - we will be back!

I booked this hotel after seeing a previous 'trip advisor' review of a couple attending a wedding and Fiona allowed them to arrive earlier than normal check-in to get ready for the wedding. We were also in the same situation and drove down from Essex. Arrived nice and early and found Kerrington House so we went into Axminster for a...

Fiona is lovely, second visit for us, great place, great rooms, great breakfast. On arrival we had complimentary sherry in the room, masses of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, and a tea pot . Bath robes provided, shampoo and conditioner separately (my wife likes that, not a problem for me as I am bald!) so when in Axminster this is our...

We spent two nights in this lovely large Victorian house on the edge of Axminster as part of a short family break. Kerrington House was clean, well maintained and imposing and offered a peaceful and quiet stay. Our hosts made us feel extremely welcome and although our room was almost up in the attic, we found it to be comfortably...

We stayed for 2 nights as we were lucky enough to be attending a wedding nearby. A good choice as the room and bathroom were beautifully appointed - proper sized towels and big dressing gowns. The size of a bath towel to me is always a good indicator of the thought behind guests' comfort as there is nothing worse than...

Spent a night here after 4 days at River Cottage HQ. Lovely B&B with a communal sitting room that after standing for 4 days was very welcome. Nice honesty bar in the corner with a selection of wine & sprits. Room was clean and comfortable although the be did creak a bit as you go in & out. One of...

Our three night stay at Kerrington House was very enjoyable. It was ideally situated in a lovely location only a ten minute drive to Lyme Regis. We stayed in Jasmin, it was a light and airy room, beautifully decorated and comfortable with tea, biscuits and sherry. Secure parking right outside the front door. Wonderful breakfasts with a wide choice. The...

We loved our stay at Kerrington House. The owner was friendly and helpful and helped sort us a taxi to River Cottage HQ despite us being really late due to traffic. We stayed in the disabled access room which off to one side of the house and it was a beautiful room, spacious, decorated well and clean, with a very...

We booked a double room which exceeded our expectations. The room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The owner Fiona was a very pleasant lady who made us very welcome. The breakfast was excellent and we return here next year. We had a short walk in to the town and eat at 'River Cottage Restaurant', also a good...
