Tried the Castle for lunch on Sunday. Surprised to find the atmosphere had retained the feel of a modernised pub and the choice and price of the real ales were quite reasonable. The menu was varied with a decent special board, Sunday roast, starters and snacks. The prices weren't too bad at all and the service was good too.

Booked room at late notice the day before I was due to travel to Bungay. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful and offered to make sure the room was ready early as I would be arriving in the morning. Upon arrival I managed to snag a car parking space in the limited area behind the...

This is the best for food in Bungay. A very relaxing atmosphere with attentive service and an interesting menu. Prices are very reasonable for such excellent food. Wines are limited and beers even more so, but this is a foodie place, and NOT your average village pub. Recommended.

We had a great evening, delicious fresh, local seasonal food, attractively served. Good atmosphere and helpful young staff who were accommodating and pleasant. Lovely! We will repeat that when we have another excuse to go out as a group!

This is a small hotel in the lovely town of Bungay. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is very good and the bedrooms very comfortable with en suite bathrooms. I would recommend that if you are considering staying here that your pre book your room.

We stayed for a long weekend in the hotel. We booked the Wingfield room with the 4 poster. The room is very nice and quirky with floors that lean in all different directions but what can you expect from a building that is so old. The bed was comfortable, the room included a seating area which was very nice and...

Was here for business on a weekday, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean, cosy with a nice en-suite and fast wifi . Breakfast in the morning featured probably the best poached egg I've ever experienced with some very tasty locally sourced sausages too. Would highly recommend.

We have just returned from an overnight stay and were most impressed. From the booking of the room to the paying of the bill the service was excellent. The staff were great and the young lady serving breakfast a delight. The room had everything you could wish for and it was the small details that made it so - cotton...

From the initial telephone call they couldn't have been more helpful, even to making sure my bike was secure as soon as I arived. Very comfortable and clean room with good facilities. As for the bar/restaurant I can only say that it is as good as...
