We do not normally stay in town or city centre's so this place was OK for a one night stay near Bern. The room was adequate and not too expensive by Swiss standards. The check in lady was very helpful but at other times we struggled to find staff. Check out was slow, probably due to other guests taking too...

Dear Mr britabroadUK Thank you for your respond. We are glad that you could enjoy your stay in Lyss and we are sorry that you had to look after the Staff. That should not happened. We have to Restaurant. The Schwiizerstube and the Kreuzstube. The second Restaurant is more expensive than the Schwiizerstube. So we can offer both for lower...

A short business trip got me impressed with how clean the hotel rooms are. Attached to a cafe for quick meals/coffee, the rooms come with BF and has internet connection. A water wheel sits by a stream outside the hotel which adds a little excitement for a first timer and shops for sundry and local brands are just a walk...

Lyss was a bit too far out of the city for our needs as tourists. However, we wanted to like the attractive hotel but we just couldn't. It was very hot when we were there and of course there was no air conditioning. The friends we were traveling with had a fan in their room, and the man at the...

Trying to find a hotel last minute close to Berne was not so easy. With this place in an old but comfortable Hotel we found a real jewel. The location close to train and town center was fabulous. Our room was perfect on the third floor. Breakfast was included and the buffet offered a nice variety of Breakfast items. We...

I booked a room when I got off train, before I headed for Worben to visit maternal family. Later I heard that my dear grandmother had worked here as a chambermaid prior to leaving for America. The room, the food and even the 'stube' was terrific. A Swiss experience

The Weisses Kreuz was the first hotel a cycling group I was with stayed in enroute to Celle Ligure on the Mediterranean coast. Eight of us shared four double rooms BUT with only two toilets and one shower between the eight of us! Having said that, the evening meal was very good.
