So this was our first experience of a safari, and I'm not sure we'd really thought about it too much, but we had a really breathtaking experience in an informal and relaxed setting. The lodges themselves are really nicely decorated, with thatched roofs, all have verandas and the both has a viewing window so you can bath whilst watching baboons!...

We had a wonderful two night stay at Woodbury Lodge. Tim was very responsive to emails I had sent months in advance of our stay. The lodge is conveniently located about an hour east of Port Elizabeth off of the N2; however, seems a world away from any city. Parking was available at the lodge. Upon arrival, we were promptly...

Most beautiful landscape with all their animals. Excellent scouts (Prince of Amakhala), unstressed days, very good breakfast - lunch and dinner. The accommodation facilities was excellent. We spent very relaxed two days on the lodge.

A wonderful 2 day, 3 safari drive experience. Saw 4 of the big 5 only animal missing was the Leopard. The guide new his stuff, not only his all round knowledge of the animals etc but also his expertise in changing wheels, one lady guide had 2 punctures !! Lodge staff were all very friendly as were fellow guests.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay with accommodation, food , and staff all excellent. Our ranger, Jason, was first class and his knowledge and approach made the game drives something we will never forget. It was a particularly nice touch that one of the two owners dined with us one evening, something we were told he does at least once a week,...

Unfortunately we booked late so could only stay for one night and the night we stayed the reserve was hit by a thunderstorm!! Having said that it was truly an amazing experience to be up on top of a hill in the middle of a thunderstorm on a game reserve- that's if you don't mind getting wet!! We got to...

Staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant at all times. The food was always good and plentiful. The facilities are excellent. Our stay could not have been bettered and we would certainly consider returning. We have already recommended Woodbury Lodge to some friends thinking of going to SA.

Stayed for 3 nights (about right for us - 5 game drives) .Good accommodation and food and excellent welcoming and informative staff and guide(Jason). Small and friendly(not the animals!) and saw 4 out of Big 5 ( no leopard which is rarely seen).
