The most wonderful place to stay. We chose Koh Jum Villa because of the promise of the peaceful location, the attention to detail and the importance of environmental and ethical travel the resort commit to, and the experience did not disappoint, in fact it was better in real life. The villas are spacious, beautifully crafted, feel authentic, private and at one with the surroundings. The food at the main restaurant was delicious and varied, same with the drinks served. The staff could not do enough for us, and the range of activities allowed us to do as much or as little as we wanted to in terms of experiencing the area. We took a private boat trip for the day, and it was he most magic way to see some incredible sight, but done at our own pace. We also had a cooking class which was great fun. As soon you step in to Koh Jum Beach Villas Resort you feel like in Paradise. Our villa was beautiful and huge, it was located right on the beach. We especially love that the resort is ecological. No plastic bottles at all, there are only glass bottles, they resort is refilling them with clean drinking water for you. The resort is providing trash bags for picking up the trash on the beach . The trash is coming in with the flow, it is costum at this resort that the staff is helping too. It was very educational for our kids. A big thank you to David (Manager) and Mandy (Reservation) they were so kind and friendly and made our holidays a big success.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Right from the start all communication was clear. Transfer arrangements were handled very well from Airport pick up to the pier and transfer by boat. The beach front villa was impeccable, well maintained and nice views of the phi phi islands. The highlight was the food suggestions by David . Dinner specials were the best meals we had in a long time. The staff were outstanding and very friendly.

Travel should be many things for many people, but i think we all agree that a warm and professional service style, delivered with sincerity, coupled with a beautiful living environment that shares comfort and privacy are something that all styles of travel value, and Koh Jum Beach Villas has all this and more.
The property was described to me as Eco_Luxe and it lived up to that name. Gorgeous pool villas positioned to ensure peace and privacy, and ours was a couple of steps from the beach. Big, bright, airy and well appointed the villa could not have been better. We took a 2-bedroom villa, 1 room for our adult son and 1 for us, shared kitchen, dining and living space, and the pool. The beach, the island, WOW. This was for me how island life should be. The hotel is closely integrated with the 3 small communities, fisherfolk mostly, that call this island home, and this warm friendly connection was there to be enjoyed by guests. Very much the spirit of the place, giving a strong sense of place. We took bicycles out to the local villages, meeting the locals and learning about island life all with the help of the hotel staff (local folks themselves). NOT to be misssed if you like nature is the guided walk up Koh Pu mountain (sounds bigger than it is) was a fun and fascinating walk. The beach, miles of unspoilt sand and a few rocky reefy patches, loved exploring it. Boat trips for AMAZING snorkelling, lazy days by the pool and beach, and exploring the island by bike and foot. Truly the most relaxing holiday i have had in years. Credit has to go to the team, from Mandy who helped us book and plan our arrivals and departures, and shared her favourite spots on the island, and David, the ever available assistant manager, a fantastic font of local knowledge, always ready with a recommendation from dining to activities. Has to be said that all the staff were warm and friendly, it really felt ike staying with a family or a bunch of friends. Only negative (more a positive though if you ask me!) was the internet could be a bit hit and miss at times, bonus really as we shared more time together as a result! We LOVED Koh Jum and i'm sure you WILL too!

Review is written on our final evening watching the sun set on the beach with a lychee mojito in hand. We are a family of 5 with 3 sons who have loved every second of this very special island and resort. Koh Jum is a true Thai island, no KFC or McDonald’s here. KJBV is stunning, every aspect carefully considered. The Villas are on or a few steps away from a vast golden beach. Each Villa has its own charm, we stayed in Ban Wajda , a three bedroom Villa, beachfront with pool. The third bedroom a separate annex so would be idea for group travelling together, needing their own space. The beds are comfy, rooms cooled with fans and bifold doors by day and air con by night. Spacious lounge area and small kitchen to cook should you wish.
The pool is more than a plunge, and delightfully cool, cleaned daily and not full of chlorine.
We spent our days lounging around the main pool, with the company of the wonderful staff, nothing is ever too much trouble here. Mark and David the managers are pearl of wisdom. Eak, Sak run the bar and make the most delicious cocktails! They were amazing with our boys, who will miss them both hugely.
The food is delicious , varied with daily specials, curry night was a hit which surprised me! We ate in the resort most nights, several we ate out at Koh Jum seafood, which was equally delicious.
Breakfast in the restaurant was buffet style with fruit, pastries, pancakes, eggs etc cooked to order.
We took several trips, snorkelling and to an elephant sanctuary, yes these trips are expensive but a very high standard and worth the cost.
The reception staff were wonderful helping us with our booking, going the extra mile. My son sustained a nasty injury, the staff were so kind and helpful, even offering crutches and a wheelchair for him.
Massages are amazing, thank you Paty.
Daily yoga on a stunning part of the beach each morning was a highlight, Yin Yoga with Kay every day has released so much tension, leaving me renewed.
If you’re looking for an ultra relaxing, high quality resort, with your own space at your own pace, Koh Jum beach Villas is for you. Hire a bike, moped or tuk tuk, explore this beautiful island and you’ll be sad to say goodbye.

After looking through dozens of places to stay on Koh Jum we settled for a one bedroom beach villa at the Koh Jum Beach Villa resort. We asked for a private transfer as it was our first time there. Very well organized. We arrived at the resort to be welcomed by the operations manager David. After checking in we were shown to the Villa. We were speechless. The Villa had everything we wanted and more. A nice plunge pool with jacuzzi with clear views of the ocean and a ten second walk to the beach. Everything in the Villa and around it was spotless. An amazing bed with a very comfortable mattress. The bar and restaurant are both super relaxing. Cocktails in the bar are fantastic. Then there is the food!!! I can honestly say that I’ve never had such high quality food served so consistently. Specials everyday also. It is fine dining quality food but with big portions. We ventured out now and again but felt the resort catered for everything we needed so spent most of our time there. Finally the staff. All the staff were extremely polite and attentive. Of all the staff we spoke to all had a good grasp of the English language. David the operations manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. A must visit resort and worth every penny. David and the team did a great job to make sure we were welcome and treated like royalty, but before that, the communications during reservation were also clear, quick and informative. The whole trip was a very memorable one. The resort has everything you could need although due to limited number of guests the full breakfast buffet was closed and we really missed a decent cup of coffee in the morning, but now I'm being picky because the food for all other meals was excellent. We were even treated to a locally caught and fresh off the boat sailfish. Kids had a great time and we enjoyed a little ride around the island on the scooters hired from the resort. One thing to note is that the beach is not the best for swimming as there's quite a reef out the front and a bit choppy due to storms, so not able to see where you walk but the pool made up for it :)

The villa was well appointed and beautifully located with a gorgeous beach view and access to the bar and main dining. What made this location so special was the service and people. Room make up and turn down was a beautiful production. Drinks were made with love by two amazing bar tenders, Teerawat and Sak, who always called me by name. David, the operations manager was super knowledgeable about the property and area, and Ken bent over backwards to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. English is well spoken by nearly everyone and we never had a want. The area is so rich with culture. Truly a beautiful experience to see what the locals have rebuilt after the devastating 2004 Tsunami. This property is stunning and the developers have done everything they can to capture and protect the natural habitat. We loved it and would come again!

Stunning. This is one of the most gorgeous properties I have been to in a long time and if you can ignore the cost (which really isn't too steep considering we got a 3-bed villa for around 13k TB a day incl breakfast), its probably the nicest premium option near Krabi. Koh Jum is an island and a 15 minute boat ride from the mainland. Service at the property is impeccable through a bit slow since its a substantially large place, and the villas are at a comfortable distance from each other. There is plenty of green cover providing ample shade from the heat.
The villas are tastefully appointed, comfortable and the space is magnanimous. We were a group of 7 including 2 kids and we had a blast in a villa called the Baan Chang. They even provide a in-home chef, and to bring in the anniversary of a couple we had an in-house barbecue and the staff helped organize everything. Prices were steep, but the food was delicious though you need to be more precise about what you want or you will get swamped by the quantities.
Baan Chang is made up of 2 villas connected to each other. One houses a single bedroom with an outdoor shower area and a tub. The main house has a large living room and two large bedrooms below ground. Each villa comes with a private pool and there is a large public pool near the main dining area. You get Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity everywhere on the property.
The beach is secluded, the waters placid and we were just about a 40 minute boat ride from the Phi Phi islands. You have a few water sport options, a small gym, a lovely area to exercise or practise yoga in, though generally there is ample space to walk around, be it inside the resort or on the beach. The property provides cycles and rents out scooters if you want to get around Koh Jum island, which from one end to other is no more than around 12 kms long. There aren't too many facilities on the island, but there are stores where you can get almost anything you'd need.
Being a forested property, there are plenty of insects, and the mosquitoes in the evening can be irritating, but the property provides you with repellant so use that generously. One night a praying mantis got into the bedrooms which freaked the kids but its also a good opportunity to get them closer to nature. The humidity can be bothersome, and while the living room is airy with large windows in typical tropical living, it did not have air-conditioning. The bedrooms however are air-conditioned.
Overall we enjoyed every moment at this property and in hindsight wished we spent more time there. One thing is for sure, we will return.

First of all, this is a great, relaxing and friendly resort (we were just back for a second visit last week with 8 of us). Baan Thammachat would be a good choice. Both bedrooms are on the same level and you will need a pool as it's quite hot. Kids ages 7 & 11 will find a great beach for shells and swimming. Some swings on the beach by the Spa/Kayak area. Great walks down to the Rock Bar beach area.
Your can rent a taxi truck for an island tour. There is enough to keep you busy for a few days. Very unspoiled place. If you have the time and budget, rent a boat or join a island hopping tour to phi phi for swimming and snorkeling. If your kids love water, sand and can entertain each other . A good family get away. My understanding is that you can smoke outside of the villa's on the patio. I am not a smoker but I did see people smoking just outside of the pool area at the restaurant -bar. Although you are not allowed to smoke directly in the rooms I feel that they have a smoker friendly area at the villa's. Hope this helps in making your decision to go.
