Our 6-day stay at the Mérou Bleu was simply fantastic. Sonya put us at ease right away, and helped us organise the time we spent on Rangiroa, providing advice on diving, places to eat and things to see. We had the pleasure of having breakfast and dinner (home made, delicious) in a nice fare with a beautiful view, not to... More

It is convenient for snorkeling. But you should enter the sea at the area of the stone wall in the south side of the pension.(cf.photograph) because there are a leaf in front of the pension.. It is a good snorkeling point at the area off the coast of the stone wall area. You have to plastic shoes or the fin.... More

We stayed at Sonya´s Place only for 2 nights - unfortunately. But we can highly recommend it. From the first moment on we felt totally welcome. We spent our time there with our little son (4yrs) an he nearly instantly fell in love with Sonya. The Place is stunning. Sunset is right in front of you. And everywhere you can... More

Lovely, rustic bungalows right on the water where the local boys surfed daily. Merou Bleu is not a resort but the rooms have hot water, refrigerator and roomy enough but not large. I thought Sonya's food was fabulous. Each day, we lounged around after a 8am french breakfast and then biked into town for beers across from the marina at... More

We stayed at the Merou Bleu as part of our honeymoon trip to French Polynesia. This small friendly pension overlooks the outside part of a channel to the Pacific Ocean in a secluded edge of the town, about 10 minutes walk from the center dock. The rooms are clean and simple, which is what one would expect of such a... More

Sonya has a really special spot on rangiora. She's facing the great surf break and beautiful sunsets. Her gardens are lovely and she gives the place a really cool, quirky touch. The food is nice but definitely not the best in Tahiti as previously mentioned by everyone. The bungalows are so basic and uncomfortable it is a laughing joke at... More

My husband and went to the French Polynesia for 1 month and stayed at Le Merou Bleu in Rangiroa for 6 nights. We simply loved this place! I must say that I am from the hotel industry so I am very demanding when it comes to service. Sonya is simply an amazing host! So helpful, so adorable and a marvelous... More

We stayed in the merou blue for 5 nights and we had a excellent stay. The pension is remote, beatifully set at the surf break. Accomodication is original, relaxed and charming with a lot of privacy and beautifull sunsets. The host, Sonya makes the pension a 5 star accomodation ! Her service is very good, she will help you with... More

The owner Sonya is a jewel. Her bungalows and the landscaping are artistic, creative and wonderfully designed. Primitive and private yet Sonya served magnificent French and Polynesian quisine for dinner nightly and a lovely continental breakfast.
