We were transferred to this hotel when (having confirmed a booking through Booking.com) the nearby hotel La Ferriere realised that they were still undergoing refurbishment. Le Chateaubriant has recently itself undergone a refurbishment. The hotel is in a wonderful central location and the new interiors are stunning. Our room was extremely spacious with a separate bathroom and toilet off an...

This hotel has recently been renovated internally. It is modern and very smart. The bedrooms are well appointed with good bathrooms (loos separate in the bathroom space). It is sensibly priced and the staff are helpful. Breakfast is modest but adequate and there is a drinks service in the public area adjacent to reception. When we stayed, there were still...

We visited Chateaubriant because my father spent time there during WW-2. This hotel was well located in the center, recently very nicely renovated, and the staff was excellent. The receptionist Mayline was very pleasant and and exceptionally helpful, even helping my wife get directions to an open pharmacy on Sunday morning.

The rooms were lovely, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, well equipped, with very good shower rooms. They have magnetic keys which have to be kept in a slot in the room so that the...

Centraly located. Close to the castle. Different choices of restaurant close by which is nice. The hotel itself is and old stone building and look nice from the outside. Rooms have name of Kings and Queens and other historic characters. But the room I was in was very dull and plain... almost an hospital feel. Yet clean and confortable. I...
