What a fantastic place to stay. As I stated in the title it is peaceful and beautiful. I stayed in a two-bedroom bahuina suite. The suites are huge and have enough room to sleep up to five. There is free wireless Internet access throughout the...More

Kewarra Beach Resort was the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. The beachside bunaglows give the right level of privacy and are well located 50m from the beach; they are well-appointed and spacious; the fit-out is appropriate, but not over the top. The service was...More

Hi Troy, great question. Crocodiles live pretty much anywhere in the top end of Australia and this region is no exception. The local area is monitored very well by the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection. Any animal that is sighted is relocated.
It is certainly never advisable to swim around or in the local estuaries, river mouths and especially at night. Otherwise the oceans are warm and inviting year round and Kewarra Beach has it's own stinger enclosure for the periods when required.
We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you to our sunny shores.

There are no bars or restaurants nearby.
No problem with tour operators picking you up from the resort.
Small shops are about 20-30 min walk away. There is also large shopping centre about 45-50 min walk away.
