Xavier, the owner, is very welcoming, relaxed and seems a real character and this is what sets the tone for the place! It's in a very good location, there's plenty space, nice garden, seating outside your room and you're just left to your devices - so what's not to like!

This is a place for the budget traveller and if you don't be serious on sleeping at luxury bedroom with air condition.I have paid only 300 Rs. for a single room attached bathroom. Actually, it is the first place where the auto rickshaw drop me at the point and he said this area have a lot of cheap lodging. You can...

We stayed three days at Mamallapuram and chose this hotel because it was described in Lonely Planet as having a nice garden, and on the whole we were not disappointed. After some bargaining, the owner gave us a quiet room with a rather large and cosy terrace, where one could sit and relax at the table (in the evening, of...

My husband and I chose this place because it was mentioned in The Rough Guide but didn't check the reviews first as we normally do so I was suprised at how negative they were. We found it to be a lovely place to stay with a relaxed and friendly vibe, helpful staff and owner, in a central location near the...

I booked this place through Cleartrip as it was also mentioned in a couple of the India guide books. I feel those books should ditch the place in their next editions. To start with the owner /manager had made no provision for my reservation even though I had booked 2 weeks previous. He whined about not having been paid by...

I don't think that Tina's is a good choice if you are looking for a good value room at the budget end.I paid 500 rupees at the beginning of the low season for a single,cell-like,gloomy and very basic room.It was rather clean but with no such thing as breakfast or wifi,it is very overpriced. Also the owner is not friendly at...

My advice is, head for this place if you are looking for cheap accommodation though I am quite sure there are better options available around. I was charged 400 for a single bed and it wasn't worth the money. The place gives a gloomy feeling with small rooms, fortunately there was an exceptionally small sized attached bath. Staff aren't friendly...

At 400 rupees for a double, self contained, room, the price is more than right. The room was, however, dark, but not unreasonably hot. No mosquitos bothered me during my stay. The attached restaurant was less of a success. The food I did get was quite ok, but it was only on my third visit that they were actually able...

Is actually pathetic. We booked it through Makemytrip. On reaching there, we found that the room din't have an attached bathroom and was more of a closed box with no light. We had to search for other place to stay.

A dive ! The owner is friendly enough and the puppies (3 weeks old) are cute. It stops here. The rooms are nothing but dirty, damp and very hot. Like everything that is damp and hot in India, it is mosquitos paradise, that can be counted in hundreds ( no exaggeration I promise!). Add to all of that, many holes in...
