We have just spent a week at the idyllic Santa Chiara in the Umbrian country side. Paul and Anita are first class hosts and have thought of every detail to make your stay an enjoyable one. The apartment was lovely with an authentic Italian charm throughout. Our children loved playing in the pool while we sat and relaxed and enjoyed...

So we return again to the Italian idle that is Santa Chiara, this time a slightly smaller apartment as we were slow in booking (there is a lesson book early!) but perfect in every way. This is our third or forth trip to this little bit of Italian paradise and the welcome and facilities were as outstanding as ever. My...

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Anita and Paul's villa in Umbria. Our son is 8 and loved every moment of this home away from home due to the excellent hospitality , facilities and child friendly attention to detail throughout. I have spent large parts of my life working and studying in Italy but could never grow...

We had an amazing time at Santa Chiara with our 4year old and 2 year old. We stayed in 'Rancale' - a two-bed apartment which was beautifully furnished and very well equipped with fantastic views from the master bedroom down the valley. There's lots of things to do in the area - exploring the hill the village of Montone, paddling...

A fabulous and special place to stay and perfect for our 21 month old daughter. Its location is blissful with stunning views and enables a complete get away. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious with pretty much everything you need, including all the toddler equipment you might need, with everything very well maintained. Paul and Anita are very knowledgeable...

A well equipped, very pretty converted farmhouse in an idyllic spot. Paul and Anita were very friendly and helpful, they were full of local knowledge, had excellent restaurant recommendations and a great supply of toys and play areas for little ones, our son was a particular fan of the play area by the pool. We would recommend this as a...

What a wonderful relaxing place to stay . The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, especially if you have young children. The fixtures and fittings in the apartment are top notch, spacious rooms and cupboards full of everything you need to cook a meal. The outside area has views of the valley and hillside - a...

Then you'll find it at Santa Chiara. Situated in a valley a few minutes drive up an unmade road, Santa Chiara really is away from it all. The surrounding countryside is fabulous and if you like your walks and wildlife (deer, procupine, black squirrels) then there is plenty too explore. A small stream runs in a deep valley near the...

My wife had booked this after reading reviews here. We are all very glad she did. We arrived late and Anita had offered to cook dinner for us (as mentioned in other reviews there is a price but it is worth it and will last most more than one meal). It was amazing, and by this I mean our first...

It is with mixed emotions that I write this review, torn between keeping it a secret jewel and sharing the pleasures of our stay. A note it would be better to have a sturdier car than our rental which was a Lancia Ypsilion! Anita and Paul have created a little haven of tranquility in the Umbrian mountains, they are on...
