We stayed at the Hotel de Champoluc in the last week of the 2018 ski season. Yes, the hotel itself (as other reviews suggest) is a little tired in places but in a good way - homely, comfortable, friendly. The kind of place you can...More
This was our forth time at this hotel and the first since Inghams have been operating it as a chalet hotel. The location is perfect and about as close as you can get to ski in/ski out in Champoluc. We stayed over Christmas so had...More
Hotel de Champoluc could not be better placed just 40 mtrs away from the first gondola out of town and right beside the main piste on return, which is separated by a high safety fence which needs to be walked around. Many have stated that...More
The key thing here is the location, right next to the main bubble up to the slopes.
Hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are brilliant. Loads of hot water and good showers and baths. Spacious rooms. Nice airy lounge with good bar.

I'd say it would. If you want village level flat walking there's a nice riverside walk round the village, or a snow covered walk through the trees up to the next village frachey, about a mile each way. There's also a local bus which can take you further down the valley for more variety.
For more extensive walking up on the slopes, it's possible to take the gondola and follow various routes. If you google Love Valle De Aosta website and have a look, there will be a map showing all the walking routes in the area.
In addition, there's a new recently opened wellness centre with various swimming pools, spa pools, saunas etc for a change from skiing, it's called Monterosaterme, lots of info on their website.
