If you are looking for a place to relax, simply enjoy the scenery and great food, this is the right choice! There are many things to do in the area, from hikes to beaches - you name it. The staff was excellent and very carring. I highly recommend it!

The structure is beautiful and very well restored, the rooms are confortable and in general the quality of your stay in this hotel is very high for the Croatian standards.....but.......the claning of the rooms and of the bathromms is not always impeccable..............the breakfast is not so rich and is disturbed by hundreds of wasps..........the serrvice is too familiar and not professional.......the...

Hotel Balatura has so much to recommend it! Situated in the quiet village of Tribalj, inland not far from Rijeka, this is a truly delightful retreat. The owners who also oversaw every aspect of the conversion of this 400-year old property into an exquisite, boutique hotel, are Gordon and Anne-Kathrin - an extremely-welcoming Croat-German couple. They run this heavenly place...

This is a beautiful, small and intimate hotel in the middle of a small village in the northern Adriatic Sea. There are 10 rooms and each is decorated in its own way. This hotel can not be described in words, you simply must experience. The staff was polite and friendly. It is interesting that instead of carbonated drinks and buy...

We spent two nights in the hotel, and we were sorry to leave. The staff is excellent, always at service. They don't make you rush in the morning to get the breakfast. You can have it any time, even at noon. In the morning they propose you to have dinner at their restaurant, and offer you two or three possible...

Before we arrived at Balatura, we had already been in Croatia for a week. So far, we didn't like Croatia that much: beautiful nature, but too many tourists, hard to find good food and wine and just people everywhere we looked (and not all of them were very nice). It seemed like the Croatians didn't really know how to handle...

A truly traditional and rustic atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful rich breakfast - we were completely spoiled. Excellent for those who like to sleep somewhere quiet. All the rooms are furnished with taste. Although out of the major tourist route - worth the extra mile. For all of you honeymooners: GO FOR IT!

The Hotel Balatura is owned and operated by a lovely German/Croatian couple with 5 boys. It has only been open about a year, having been beautifully restored in a 400 year old farm. Each of the 8 rooms is spotless and well appointed (ours had a two-room bathroom with stone sink and tub). A gourmet breakfast is included in the...

This hotel was suggested to us by the local Tourist Information office who gave us the wrong address! The owner came 12km to pick us up and take us to the hotel, which is a renovated building in a tiny village in the hills a few km from the coast. The owner also took us to the nearest town to...
