Our stay in Pedralva was not at all what we were looking for and we ultimately left a day early in order to find another, more relaxing place to stay. I'd like to begin with the plusses - the staff were all very nice and the food was excellent. If you are in the area and looking for a place...

The village lives up to the photos, nicely restored with much of its old world charm, even current residents still in their homes scattered about the village. Antonio was a great host and eager to help in all ways. Best is that you can easily reach much of the western Algarve coast without having the beach town August mania. Particularly...

The Look and feel of the village was just as we hoped, the house we had was a good size for a young family and the refurbishment of the building was to a high quality. A disappointment was the quality of the furniture used to finish the house and some common areas. They are trying to keep the feeling of...

We had a wedding weekend here and all was perfectly organised. The village looked like a postcard, all cottages had a very nice and comfortable lay out, food was great and people so friendly. Could definitely stay here again, and longer! Only thing missing were some more facilities around the pool.

Good place to relax, quite, and near of several beaches. The staff was very kind. Our house/room has an very high window, that you couldn't have access and impossible to cover, so when the sun rises (6 am) you have a lot of sun in the room and is impossibility to sleep (mainly the child). The sofa bed is terrible,...

The cottage was cold, musty and the bedroom had a smell in it as if someone had been smoking previous to our visit. The kitchen had few utensils, - no kettle, there were chipped mugs. Wouldn't stay there again!

Hi Peter. Thanks for your review. The village is equipped with a restaurant and a Portuguese Café, both working 365 days per year from 8am until 24pm, so the kitchenette at home is just a support for your stay. In the kitchenette you can find the Electric Oven, Microwave, Electric Stove, Refrigerator, Nespresso Coffe Machine, Blender and of course plates,...

Absolutely fabulous, place is so peaceful and quite. I felt there like on different planet. The greatest place for those who need some rest from big cities and rushing. Wonderful people make this place special as well. Romantic, rustically and very Portuguese. Thanks for hosting us I wish I could return. Obrigada:))))

So nice to read your comment. This is a detox product indeed. A little stop in our life to enjoy the truly life: family, friends, the Portuguese food, a good wine, a nice conversation, a good surf section, a nice walking..... welcome to Pedralva :)

We liked the ambiance in Pedralva. The village is realy nice in a beatiful valley. The staff is very kind and friendly so you feel at home. All facilities are available like swimming pool, restaurant and bike rental, also good place for a walk. Nearby nice surfing facilities at Amado beach.

We stayed in a large house with the two of us, so had a lovely outside terrace with magnificent view and lots of space inside, but its especially the extremely friendly staff and delicious food (breakfast, lunch and diner) that we remember the most and that really charmed us.

We loved our four days at this rebuilt village. Our one-bedroom house had a terrace looking out over fields and gentle hills, and it was heated for the chilly evenings. The most impressive thing about Pedralva is the warmth and efficiency of Antonio and his team: nothing seems too much trouble. They helped us put together the rest of our...

“All rooms are nice though some are bigger than others. Comfortable beds and it is so quiet that you should sleep well. A little kitchenette was a bonus for making tea or for preparing a light meal as the market in nearby Villa do Bispo is wonderful.”
