Full English breakfast with the usual choice of cereal or porridge. The evening meals were delicious and well presented. Our en-suite room No. 5 was in the newer part of the hotel, very clean. We...

We enjoyed our stay at the Saracens Head. The staff were excellent, especially Debbie, who is a character and kept us entertained during our evening meal. Bed was comfortable although the room was really hot with no means of turning the radiator down,

A very pleasant stay in a well situated hotel. Very good value, with good food. The public areas were a bit cold due to the single glazed windows. Bedrooms were comfortable and adequately heated. Staff polite and helpful.

February 2017 visit meant we were able to wander at will and take our time. As it is so near the Minster we enjoyed visits to it early morning, midday and a walk in the evening. Our room was upgraded to room 2 over the passageway which was superb. As it was such a cold spell we asked for and...

The food is high quality and well-presented. The room was very comfortable, although there can be some noise at night from the main road. One very minor issue,it be helpful to have hanging space...

We had a change of venue for our Christmas Dinner this year and for the first time my two sons and myself treated ourselves to The Saracens Head Christmas Day Dinner and we were impressed with the meal. There was plenty of food. The meat was tasty and there were plenty of fresh vegetables which were not overcooked but just...

Imagine it's a film where the star couple have the idealised Sunday lunch in an English country hotel. This was it for me last week. Wood panelling; a distinguished looking lady luncher in a perfect plaid skirt and pearls; three generations of a family with the grandchild's first Sunday lunch out; Georgian windows overlooking a quiet high street. An old...
