The term ‘hidden gem’ may be overused, however this fits Moorland House, St Mawgan exactly. The Sat Nav, having reached its destination at the top of the lane with a short distance down a rough but passable road. Most friendly meeting from Steve and Jill. The accommodation was luxurious with an enormous bed overlooking a well kept garden. Lots of...

Steve and Jill are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. The Breakfast was excellent and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We stayed for 4 nights and had a very early start on the last morning and they were happy to serve breakfast early. We can recommend The Moorland House and we look forward to another stay.

Absolutely stunning b&b in a beautiful little Cornish village. Rooms are excellently furnished with the highest of standards, beds are comfortable for a great nights sleep. A warm welcome from Steve & Gill with homemade cakes and drink on arrival. In the room a good selection of hot drinks & homemade flapjacks. We were asked what time we'd like breakfast...

We tried to book into the Scarlet and the Watergate Bay, but they did not have availability. We managed to strike lucky and book into Moorland House. A more welcoming couple of hosts I can not imagine. The breakfast was beautiful and I even got gluten free sausages which were bought specially. The room was very comfortable and the bed...

Booked a very last minute stay at this great B&B because of last minute visit to the area. The property is very pretty with really nice rooms and fantastic gardens which you are welcome to use, the hosts are very welcoming and cooked us a lovely breakfast on both mornings. With only 2 rooms this really is a home from...

We stayed at Moorland House for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding and found B&B perfection... St Mawgan is a beautiful village with a great local pub, church and post office and is a 30 minute walk from the beach along footpaths and through more fantastic scenery. Moorland House itself is set in lovely gardens and our room was great...

This place is a gem. In an adorable village, well located in beautiful countryside and near the coast. The bed and breakfast itself was perfect in every way. Our room was beautiful with a really comfortable bed and a georgous view of their pristine garden. Every detail had been thought of with homemade flapjacks and little chocolates in our room...

To set the scene, Moorland House is in deepest Cornwall in a tiny village about 30mins walk from the sea. By the time you arrive you will have experienced a wealth of scenery that wraps you in a cosy, twee warmth of hedgerows, rolling hills and windy roads (that get ever slimmer). Arriving at Moorland House means an exciting little...

Absolutely idyllic and service second to none. We stayed for a couple of nights before flying from Newquay airport - and it was perfect in every way, with a double and twin room to stay as a family. Steve and Jill were the perfect hosts and attentive to every need. The rooms and facilities were beautiful, as was its setting,...
