Every time we return to Cornwall we always spend at least one lunchtime at the Falcon and so far have never been disappointed-good and friendly service plus a lovely snacks and sandwiches and our cheesy chips-well worth a visit btw-wish oor wee pub in Scotland could be transported into such a lovely setting.

Having been traveling all day we wanted an early evening meal, we ordered early and it was'nt busy (no wonder) two of us had sausage and mash they were the toughest sausage ever with the runniest gravy my had a veggie burger with no taste and we'd waited ages for this awful food and just as awful service certainly won't... Thank you for your review of our delightful pub, and which of course I am disappointed to read. Everything you have said within the review is totally alien to what we try to achieve here at The Falcon Inn. We have always had fantastic comments about our sausages and mash - always a winner and the veggie burger. I am... More

Have visited this pub two years ago and loved the food and experience. On this visit was served by our waitress who was very rude with her attitude to us ,weather she likes young children or not as was with our four grandchildren. ordered a vindaloo as I eat this normally and it was over powered with chilli and was... I apologise that you were made to feel uncomfortable at your table. We do take pride in giving everyone an enjoyable experience when they arrive and to that end I will speak to the waitress concerned about her rudeness and attitude. Thank you for your comments. More

Visited last Sunday for lunch. The pub is in a really pretty setting, has a nice garden and reasonably pleasant inside. Staff were helpful and friendly. The meal itself - I had scallops to start which were OK but only just "not overcooked" my friend had the soup which had coconut and honey in it and after a third of... More

Had a meal for 2 in April here. Went on a Monday night so not too busy, but still welcoming and a great atmosphere. Main meals were the cobbler and pulled pork burger on the specials menu. Cooked very well and very tasty. Desserts were a bit of a let down..but the service was good. Would go back again!

The Falcon Inn is a proper country pub in the beautiful and peaceful little village of St Mawgan. A very warm welcome, a nice dinner (curry!), a comfy bed, and a great Full English breakfast. Perfect! Main reason for staying was their offer of parking for £15 for the whole stay, when flying from Newquay Airport. An absolute bargain considering... More

Based on a delightful evening meal and terrific lunch. We only discovered this place late on our trip but in doing so it rounded off a great holiday. It has an amicable atmosphere and the staff were only too happy to oblige.

Beautiful pub, very large range of drinks. The staff are so wonderful, friendly and happy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The landlord even gave me a lift to the airport how kind and caring is that. Definitely coming back here in the summer as apparently the walks and the beach is stunning. Don't book anywhere else book the falcon xxx

Nice food, lovely hosts. The staff were great, the food was not exciting but beautifully cooked and presented and we really enjoyed our visit. The children were made very welcome. We felt really Christmassy xx

We dropped in on off chance, it was busy but we managed to get served quick, the food was ok but the scampi looked like they were cooked either too quick or the oil might of needed changing, it's obviously a popular place so think you'd have to try to give your own verdict
