We visited Crete last week and stayed at Stone Village in Bali. Where do I start.... Great location in the centre of the north coast of Crete, which makes most of the main sights of Crete easily accessible (beware of where google maps is trying to send you sometimes though). We were here before the start of the season, so...

Although we arrived early hours of the morning and the reception was closed, there was a note attached to the door to phone someone on our arrival. They were with us within a minute. So polite and courteous and showed us directly to our little stone house. It was just my husband and I, we had a 2-storey house with...

We have arrived late with no reservations. The owner was super nice and found us a great room. The place is quite, beautiful and the prices are very fair. The design is stone and wood which is very unique and romantic. The service was amazing. We will surely return!

This hotel was one of the best me and my boyfriend has ever stayed in. Sweet, friendly staff that make you feel right at home. It's a beautiful location too with pretty flowers and a cozy environment. The breakfast and dinner menus are great, really good food. The only thing I might point out is that you might wanna rent...

We had a fabulous fortnight here. It's just far enough from the town of Bali to be quiet and away from the high density hotels without being too far if you want to walk into town. we had a rental car, so nipping into Bali was easy. The little tourist train ran regularly through the day for those without a...

I was in Stone Village 2 years ago in September. The place is nice, good for family and for relax even if it needs a bit of maintenance more. It is but fine and worthy. I remember a guy in reception very friendly and helpful and also the owner is a gentleman. Breakfast simply super. Bali is a small and...

This is the 11th time we have stayed in this hotel over the last 10 years & I think now we have sampled most of the styles of room the hotel has available & this time we had an upper floor studio with a good view from our balcony of the valley & hills opposite the hotel. The staff, as...

This hotel (or really, a complex of gorgeous stone apartments, hence the name!) was a real gem. We stayed in apartment 11, which is situated at the end of a path which meant we didn't have anybody walking past our front door. It had a splendid east-facing little terrace out front where we spent our mornings sunning ourselves, surrounded by...

Friendly service and staff, laundry access, large rooms, fun pools, easy access to the tiny town of Bali. Parking was easy. We booked through AirB&B. Good square footage of room for the price paid. Good for families.

Gill and I wanted an early break, the weather looked good in Crete, we checked out accommodation having booked our flights and came across Stone Village, it was great, lovely self contained quaint cottage with its own balcony and patio. Beautiful surrounding greenery and gardens, great breakfast and really friendly and accommodating staff. Bali itself is not over commercial then...
