Overnighted in Mäntän klubi during business trip. The hotel is excellent, something really special and yes, I definitely will be back! I believe it was build as a some kind of recreation hall for the workers of the paper factory in Mänttä. And that was a long ago. But the building is full of history and it´s really well refurbished....

The catch of this hotels lies in its history: it has been build by the "Mänttä reigning" industriel enterprice as its private club to entertains and accomadate guests. famous politicians and some royal poeple have visited the place. Some people could say that the rooms looked old factioned, but I would on the contrary state they they were perferctly furnished...

Sadly my trip was a bit last minute so there were no middle floor rooms left and I had to stay in the top floor. When you take the steps up you can see the transition from a hotel to a hostel. The middle floor is manor-like and pompous. The top floor is like any early 90's hostel with vinyl...

We got a code for the door, and found a key in an envelope; reception was empty. The whole building was quiet. I kind of liked it - to be in a ghost house in the midst of all that history and culture. Drinking our own wine in an empty club salong. Unfortunately rooms were toffee-coloured and modern, and there...

I stayed one night at Mäntän Klubi. The building is and old and beautiful one where the local pulp & paper company used to entertain their guests. It's a very charming wooden manor. The location is good for walking to the center of town (though there is little to see besides the museum, church and some local arts and handicrafts),...

This hotel was great! We didn't book a room prior to arrival so we were lucky to get two rooms because the hotel was very busy! The rooms were of a high standard and the shared bathroom facilities were clean and fresh. The food was probably the best aspect of the experience - both the a la carte dinner and...

I spent three nights in Mäntän Klub. I got the code for the door and key was waiting for me when I was arriving. The first night I walked I walked the corridors of the hotel by my self only ghosts whispering history of the house. The breakfast starts quite late. My mornings started a pit earlier, so the staff...

If you have time to visit one place in Finland outside of Helsinki, and if you are interested in art and design, go to Mänttä. In Mänttä there is an excellent new art museum and several exhibitions of art and design. Stay at the hotel Mantan Klubi, where the rooms are decorated in a style typical of the mid 1900´s....
