The hotel is lovely and the staff are friendly. I think the issue is organization and how the hotel interacts with tour operators because we asked for help arranging a Zambezi River boat cruise and hotel staff were unable to assist. Otherwise we did not have any other issues. Be sure to bring mosquito repellants as the area is full...

We use Protea Hotels for business and they are a good go-to when travelling strange places. This one needs help. Food was shocking, maintenance was worse, service staff very very poorly trained. It really looks like no one cares about this property. We had to extend by a night and I went to reception to check on availability. I was...

This hotel is situated at the Zambezi river and most rooms face the river. It is comfortable and has a nice but not very clean swimming pool. The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly, although a bit slow. The hotel has slightly the atmosphere of a hotel run by the government....

The Protea hotel which is 3km outside town has established a small camp site on the river bank. Grassed with braai area, electricity and potable water. Immaculate wash up area and ablutions with plenty hot water. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was disappointing the venison steaks were closer to boot leather. A pool and free wi fi.

Stayed here a few times over the years. Rooms are fine but food not up to scratch. Good for just a one nighter when passing through when crossing into Zambia or Botswana. If you are looking for a weekend getaway there are far more better places in and around Katima with proper meals.

Comfortable spot at the Zambezi river what's attractive because of the close proximity to the river. The equipment is average Protea style, nothing special to mention. The staff tries to make a good job, but one can feel that this place is one of a few of Protea. Travelling the Caprivi strip there is nothing wrong to stay here for...

The hotel is fine. The rooms are not bad, beds are comfy and the rooms are overall fine. I had a great view of the Zambezi river and I could sit on the on the bench and read a book while watching the river. On the other hand though, service is EXTREMELY SLOW!!!!!! The service is slow and the staff...

Brilliantly located on the banks of the Zambezi river the lodge is set in an idyllic location. We travelled as a group and rented the holiday homes V1, V2, V3, V4 etc. The rooms and living area were very spacious, clean and comfortable and easily accommodated our party of 14. Say however, for self catering accommodation they lacked simply mod...

We stayed here four nights before heading off to Victoria Falls. The place is right in town. A little old but well kept. Spent two hours checking inn because of mix ups and unregistered payment from hotels.com. Apparently it wasn't the first time, and when the receptionist finally got the manager, we were at least assured everything would be sorted...
