A lovely small lodge set amongst beautiful trees with dining and lounge decks set right on the banks of the Zambesi. The owners run the lodge and give personal service and guidance where required. Dinner is a three course meal with choices.

Well we called the lodge at 9.30 last Wednesday in a panic of no where to stay , and the owner obliged by finding us a room and we arrived at 11.30 pm - what a quality guy ! We have stayed a few years back and he remembered us - perfect stay , good food ! Perfect !

I agree with most other reviews. Location 5* couldn't be better. Rooms are traditional if a bit dark and tired. Mary and Keith hospitable, welcoming hosts. Food acceptable, quantity adequate but quality average but having said that, this is Katima Mulilo and I'm sure sourcing produce a challenge so change that to food good ! Beer could be colder and...

Was expecting a little more from this lodge, while it is on the river, with very tranquil gardens and lovely decks to have your drinks on, the rooms were very tired and rather dark, could definitely do with a thorough face lift. It is unfortunate that there is a large community living on the other side of the bank so...

We stayed in the standard chalets, very basic but neat and clean. We expected a bit more of a self-catering set-up, the description on the website is very condensed and not very helpful. Essentially what you get is a room with double or twin beds, en-suite bathroom, a bar fridge, a kettle and that's about it. Which is fine considering...

This is a great spot right on the river with a lovely view - not far out of town. The staff are lovely and friendly and the meals delicious. Lovely gardens with great places to curl up with a book and enjoy the bird songs. Great little pub. Rooms beautifully appointed and spotless. Well run. Will be back ;)

Keith and Mary are excellent hosts and have a great establishment on the banks of the Zambezi. Not only is the service great, company awesome and nature out of this world, but Keith also does the real safari thing. Definitely a place to stop over at.

Pleasant lodge on the banks of Zambezi river. Beautiful, clean and comfortable chalets, good food and very nice and helpful owners. Late arrival and express laundry was no problem. Absolutely worth to stay.

What an absolute gem in the Caprivi. The hospitality of the owners Keith and Mary Rooken-Smith will have you return to the Caprivi time and again. The lodge is superbly located on the banks of the Zambezi River, with lovely views of the river and Zambia. Meals are fantastic and the rooms are clean and well appointed. We took a...
