We found the 2 bedroom chalets to be small and needs better furnishing. The living room is extremely small with a small kitchen and a table squeezed into the same room. It really depends when you are visiting this property. Perhaps in warmer weather, it is an idyllic setting--at least you can be outside. Furnishings were IKEA style and not...

This is not a 5-star hotel. If that's what you want, perhaps this is not the place for you. After big cities and small towns, this place gives you a different kind of experience. You are in rural France, surround by small roads and small villages. The pleasure is to be able to go to a local marker getting some...

Beautiful countryside location. The owner and his family were passionate about the area and in the main, set out to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The accomodation was good, and minor issues were dealt with promptly. There are many leisure facilities available free of charge - pool, tennis, table tennis, basketball, etc. The accomodation is in purpose built...

We traveled with another family off season in April. There wasn't much activity but the accommodations where pleasant and the staff was excellent and extremely helpful. In my opinion they charge for EVERYTHING including the laundry facilities but we expected that.

We went out of our way to go here because it was recommended by RCI. I could not believe that we had to let them know to make up the beds in our 2 bedroom unit and we had to pay extra. We also were told that we would have to either clean our unit or pay 65 euros for...

This development has already been bankrupt once and it's now run by a former investor having a second bite. The site is very remote and the accommodation is of very poor quality. It seems the money ran out before any proper finishing work could be completed. Outside, the units are left in a scruffy condition. Inside, the units are cramped...

Four of us spent a fantastic week here as our home base for visiting caves, market towns, chateaus, bastides, and other places in southwestern France. We shared a two bedroom unit with a full kitchen and patio. The owners gave us great suggestions on what to see - and we were delighted with all the sights.

A wonderful get-away week nestled in the French countryside after a highly scheduled month around the Mediterranean area and Italy. The Villas are well placed for privacy and quiet interrupted only by the songs of the birds each morning. We visited a number of castles in the area and enjoyed delicious meals in local restaurants. We were there in early...

Lovely setting, plenty to do on and off site and especially good for children who can make friends and be more independent as the site is safe, this gives parents time to relax. Service is really good as well....fresh bread every morning was a real treat. Overall great place, a long drive from London but worth it.

Holiday resort offering high quality vacation rentals (25 villas and cottages), bar, restaurant, various leisure activities. Absolutely unique of its kind in the area. Rated Village de Vacances ****, "Le Domaine de Gavaudun" is a splendid property with 35 ha (87 acres) of undulating fields and woods. A calm green oasis perfectly situated in the south of historic Perigord (Dordogne), the region of a thousand Chateaux, near Quercy, Gascony and Guyenne. Its old charming renovated buildings, its excellent restaurant, the Auberge de Vezou (in the summer), and its modern accommodations in the middle of nature, together with the many activities available, will make for a memorable stay. Gavaudun is a typical and small village, dominated by its 11th century castle with a remarkable dungeon. It is nestled between the valleys of the Lot and the Dordogne rivers and is close to the majestic chateaux of Biron and Bonaguil as well as the bastides of Monflanquin and Monpazier. Sarlat and its festival, Rocamadour, Saint Emilion, Les Eyzies, Cahors, Moissac, Nerac, the prehistoric caves of Lascaux, Font de Gaume, Pech Merle and many other exceptional sites are awaiting your visit. Perigord is also particularly renowned for its fine cuisine: duck, truffles, cepe mushrooms, foie gras, ... With a glass of wine from Bergerac, Monbazillac, Cahors, ... What pleasure to walk around the local markets! Lastly, to please all, there are numerous cultural events organised around.
