What a gem! We stumbled upon it. Exhausted by the non-existent roads in Namibia we cut our adventure short, and ended up in Maltahohe for one night. I almost want to go back just to stay in this hotel owned and run by Marika and her business partner (whose name I forgot). Marika is a very special person. She was...

Nice and comfortable in every respect. The pool was the only pool my entire time in Namibia that was maintained well enough to actually use. Interesting decor and clean space. Owners were nice and staff as well.

Great place for a night and it made it possible to arrive early at Sossusvlei. Clean large rooms, great breakfast and nice dinner as well! The bar was a nice place to eat and sit for a drink. Management friendly and gave some nice advice for our trip.

When we arrived, we were shown to room 1. With a warning to keep the door closed, as there were "some" mosquitos. After killing mosquitos for about ten minutes (there were hundreds of them, also inside the mosquito nets above the bed!), I decided to go and ask for another room. After quite a wait, I was shown to room...

After a long drive across a desert. this hotel was recommended as a good place to stay or stop for a meal in our guide book. We had a warm welcome from the owners and staff and had a very good lunch in a very interesting hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the Maltahoehe hotel, when we arrived we figured that we had made a mistake but we were judging before the experience. The rooms are basic but perfect for an overnight stay. The rooms didn't have kettles but one was brought up on request. The food was homely and the breakfast good. The town is...

We drove through Maltahohe on our way to our next destination and stopped over at the Hotel for a lunchtime meal. We got the feeling that the owners / managers did us a HUGE favour to serve us. The lady was very abrupt and unfriendly and made us feel extremely unwelcome. If it was not that we were very hungry...

had a trip around the south of Namibia and this was the worst stop.the owners are extremely rude. luckily we just stopped for something to drink and had a look around the beer garden. don't waste your time , there are amazing lodges in the region.

Smoker´s bar where you can frankly speak to the owners and learn about every day´s life in Namibia. A very nice bar with lot´s of stickers and jokes on the walls, most left there by tourists. A really traditional bar. Not fancy but true.
