We stayed as a "3 generation" family with our one year old sun. Childcare is fantastic and we skied every morning while our sun was in nursery. You can ski in and out from the hotel. In summer there are many outdoor options, and kids from 1-10 surely love it. What I appreciated most was the down to earth attitude...

The Allgäuer Berghof is a place for people who want to spend their holidays outside (skiing, hiking, horseback riding, playing with the kids on the playgrounds). When the weather is good, the place is fantastic. You don't need to use the indoor facilities or stay in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bread is very very...

I worked in this hotel 30 years ago as a chambermaid and thought I needed to revisit the area. The hotel was very well organized and more focused to children than when I worked there. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Staff were all in traditional dress. The air is still so clean here-difficult to describe...

Really enjoyed our visit here as a family. It is a "kids hotel" so be prepared for families with young kids (the decor is child-like with cartoon frogs everywhere - a bit strange!) However, the grounds are very beautiful and the food very good and the staff very friendly. My daughter (14 years old) rode a Haflinger horse one afternoon...

We spent 4 nights in July at this very nice family hotel close to Sondthofen. We had a family room with separate kids room and separate kids bath. The room was very nice and clean and the hotel staff was extremely friendly. There were lots of activity places for the kids, like a large playroom (with staff, so you can...

After confirming the booking I found out that check in is at 4pm and check out at 11am. We arrived at 2pm and therefore had to wait over one hour despite requesting for an "early" check in before. Reservation goes by room type only but as I did find out you can reserve a certain room before if you're willing...

We just returned from a week-long ski holiday at the Allgaeuer Berghof and we had a great time. I'm an American living in Switzerland, and we took our 6-year old, who was on his 2nd week of the normal 2 week winter holiday. This was actually our third year at the same hotel, and we keep returning because the hotel...

I have traveled quite extensively in Germany and this hotel offered by far the poorest food I have ever encountered in Germany. It is not an inexpensive hotel and the breakfast and dinner should have been much better. There are plenty of activities for young children. Less so if you have teenagers. The view is very nice and while the...

This is an all-kids hotel with toboggans from the roof to the basement... We had a three-room appartment with a basic setup. The hotel is sitting on a hill-top with great views and hiking trails. We stayed over Easter and we enjoyed it while our daughter was excited about the Froschi-Club (after Janosch' Frog). A special highlight was the search...

“Room tip: ask for a room on the last floor, try to get as few neighbours as possible. Maybe the apartments "top" could do the "silence trick". Do NOT take the "Deckelschneck" apartment. It's loud and very very dark.”
