We've been here recently with my wife after having another nice stay in different venue and we've been making comparison (unfortunately). Actually to be honest this hotel and spa is a bit overpriced and totally commercial. I do not wanna say that they do not have good services, but to compare it price-wise I must say I did not get...

like not being in Slovakia but in ancient Greece. Nice interior and outside, not too crowded at night but just ok. Took 3 hours ticket for 25 eur, yes it is expensive! but you have plenty of pools, saunas (liked group animation by staff in finish one). Professional and friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like was extremely dirty...

Another visit to this great hotel. We had amazing family holidays for few days. Clean, quite and relaxing atmosphere. Food was good, plenty to choose from. I would appreciate better coffee for breakfast. They could invest to espresso machine for quest in the morning but overall great experience again. Spa is just out of this world. Cant wait to come...

I visited Aphrodite with my phole family, my partner and some friends over the Christmas season. I was very impressed with this hotel. It was beautifully decorated and clean, the spa section and the outdoor warm pools were amazing! The water comes from the underground natural sources so my skin was not irritated or dry after finishing up.

The hotel lobby and dining area are opulent, the rooms large, clean and very nice, we had 2 rooms on the 4th floor over looking the thermal pools. If you like what you see in the pictures than you will love the place as it is even nicer in real life. Free parking with valet service, and pretty good breakfast...

I was the only Brit at the place and it was great. I love the way the Spas are in Slovakia - the hotel was luxury, the decor was a bit ornate but very special, the food and restaurant were lovely and the spa was fabulous. Not the biggest I've been to in Slovakia but very nice. Cold and warm...

We booked suite for two weeks and checked in on Sep. 7th. It is a "5 star" place, looks very luxurious, but lacks few things, I.e. No writing paper or pen in the room, very slow WiFi (it is free), no extra towels, no map of the hotel or spa. Little disappointed with cleaning staff. Did not replace or clean...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Aphrodite Palace /former hotel Velka Fatra/ has been opened in April 2014. It offers its guests 111 rooms in various categories. The hotel has an accurate location, right in the center of the spa town. The complete reconstruction lasted two years. The hotel, hotel Aphrodite, the Spa center and outdoor and indoor Water world are connected with a glass bridge. The breathtaking restaurant and lobby, decorated with marble, onyx and 24-carat gold, are dominating the new hotel. The a la carte concept of APHRODITE PALACE restaurant was set together under the supervision of Marian Filo, chief, who served meals for the British or Dutch queen.
