We only stopped for a cup of ta EUR 8 for two people.
However, the views of little Switzerland are truly unbelievable.
Little Switzerland is a National Park in Lower Saxony, about 30 km south of Dresden and is very well worth a visit.

The hotel is perched on the Bastei just steps from the Bastei viewpoint and the Basteibrücke. Its dining room offers great sunset views over the Elbe. Service in the hotel was friendly and helpful, and service in the dining room was pretty good, too. The...More

visiting the Berghotel Bastei in late April is a good choice. It is neither too hot nor too cold to explore the area and to hike (average temperature: 10°C, but the weather is not as steady as the following months). Also the tourism season has started, so that many tourism attractions and events can be visited / used, e.g. guided hiking tours, the visit of outdoor attractions, ... Unfortunately one attraction can not be visited until May: the Felsenbühne Rathen (the large, natural amphitheater at the bottom of the Berghotel Bastei, where you can enjoy for example the performance of Carl-Maria-von-Weber`s "Der Freischütz"). This year (2018) in May are many public Holidays in Germany, so that these month will be many visitors at the Bastei. So if you don't want to choose April for your visit, June will be the next best choice / advice.
We hope, this information will help.
With best regards
