My wife and I stayed with Maurice and Shirley during a summer trip to the Isles. They made us feel like long lost family. We truly enjoyed everything, The breakfast is fabulous. A lovely house with even more lovely owners, Maurice and Shirley are superb and pleasant hosts, between their hospitality and a breakfast fit for a king there's nothing to fault Carrig House. Normally I like verity and changing where I stay but next time I visit Clare I will be staying there.

Maurice and Shirley proved to be the perfect hosts. The welcome was warm, the accommodation very good and the breakfast excellent. Maurice offers a wealth of information on all the local places of interest with a quaintly amusing delivery. We stayed with Maurice and his lovely wife 2 years ago. We got there late in the afternoon without reservation and were warmly received. The rooms are cosy and clean, there's warm water in the bathroom, the location is close enough to the nearest pub (10 min walking distance) and the breakfast is typically Irish and prepared with much love...

If ever you find yourself in this part of County Clare do yourself a favour and stay here for wonderful Irish hospitality. From the time we were welcomed at the door of this family B and B it felt just like home. The room was clean and the be comfy.
