I am travelling as a tourleader with trekkinggroups, been there 4 times over the past 3 years. My clients gets the best service possible. Food is great - and people friendly. Fogo offers the best climate on the islands, and is the place to go, if you need to relax.

I arrived at this beautiful hotel one day late due to an overbooking on a TACV flight. The owner, Luisa, was extremely helpful in enabling me to make up the lost time and literally organised my trip up to the volcano while I was having breakfast. The food was great, the breakfast had a lot of tasty local produce, and...

We arrived to a dim light. The volcano watching us and the city with no street names. The house standing still in time. The owners, characters out of a Chatwin novel. This is not just another place you visit, this is a place that makes you leave some part of you behind.

The owners are very unfriendly and kind of violent. I will never but never go back there, they hostage you, they give you wrong advice and directions and their food is poisonous. They are located just above the Tourist Office with a Zebra logo and I suggest you take the local guides for half price just around the block.

We had a wonderful four days stay in this gorgeous 'sobrado'! Our room was large with high ceiling and a beautiful view on the sea. The staff was really helpful and did their best to find a baby bed for our one and a half year old son. We felt warmly welcomed by the owners Luisa and Vincent. In addition...

The building is a throw back to the days of Empire with its rooms built around an open courtyard that is almost Moorish in style. We had a room at the rear that backs on to a noisy street but does offer the comfort of aircon whilst our kids had a room with a sea view that just has a...

We stayed only one night here, in this beautifully restored almost 400 year old house with only a few rooms. We opted for the non-view room number 6 with AC and en-suite bathroom. The room was really beautiful and large. We arrived at 7AM from Cha Das Caldeiras. The restaurant staff welcomed us with warm smile, gave us coffee, asked...

I live on Cape verde and i always stay at the Colonial when I visit Fogo. The house is an old Portuguese house restored respectfully. There is a great atmosphere and the employees are both freindly and very helpfull - though there is room for improvement in the service (or effectiveness) when it service in the bar/restaurant. The bar/lounge is...

In the months november and december I stayed on Fogo in the lovely village Sao Filipe. For our study we did some research about the tourism. This Bed and Breakfast is awesome! The accommodation looks romantic and the staff is always friendly. We had a great time at this place during our research. This location is without doubt the most...
