Very clean and relatively modern. Staff very friendly and every request was welcomed and completely fulfilled. Delicious ala carte breakfast. A little limited in wine selection but very good ones. Incredible terraces from some of the rooms overlooking Montefort Alba and surrounding areas. Really cool glass sauna. Extremely convenient for touring the Barolo and Barbaresco regions. Would definitely recommend staying here!
We staid 4 days in this beatifull boutique hotel during the wine harvest and truffle season and were absolutely amazed. This hotel location is at the most beatifull spot in Piemonte. You find good restaurants nearby by food ore michelin stars restaurants by 5 minutes in taxi. The small town of Monforte d'Alba is very picturesqe but without the crowds of touriist you find in Barolo. We will definately be back. Thw staff is so nice and make you geel at home. Thank you for making our vacation perfect
Stayed here on a walking tour of Barolo. The hotel is lovely and the attention to detail is very high. Staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The only reason I have not given 5 star rating is location. Although amazing for views it’s a wry steep climb to get to hotel and with the town only being serviced by a limited amount of taxis this can be a problem.
We have stayed here a couple of times now and everytime we leave we agree to come back. The location is stunning, the staff so friendly, and the rooms are so beautiful. The sleep quality was excellent, the rooms are clean and spending a moment at the great pool after a day exploring the Piemont is just perfect. As mentioned: we will certainly be back.
Stunning property, fantastic hilltop views, I am a great fan of the area, this hotel showcases Monforte D'alba in all its glory, with elegance and class. The rooms are small of course this is a boutique hotel, yet it is worthy of 4 - 5 star. I would return in a heart beat, the staff incredibly friendly, and helpful, onsite chauffeur service to the town which is actually just a stone throws away. I will return here hopefully for the truffle festival this winter.
A jewel of liberty style; comfort and class. The team is polite, prepared and always smiling. Rooms are very clean and comfortable . Spectacular views. Service: almost excellent , despite covid ("almost” is probably due to Covid...) In summary: wonderful place in a wonderful location : recommended
The hotel is full service in an absolutely gorgeous settings. It is high up on a ridge so it overlooks the surrounding hillsides covered in grapevines. There was also an amazing view of the snow capped alps across the valley. The room we had was small with a sitting area for relaxation. Given the time of the year we really didn't sit outside. The service was impeccable and the staff really went out of their way to be sure we were booked into restaurants and wineries. The breakfast was wonderful as were the linens and bed was so comfortable. The only negative is that it is in the very southern point of the Barolo region so travel to most places is 30 minutes on very winding roads. Although the village is Monforte d"Alba it is not Alba. The location wasn't much of a problem and the view was well worth it. We felt tucked away in paradise. We stayed close by for dinners to avoid traveling far on the steep, winding roads at night.…
For years, we've based our stays in this area in Monforte d'Alba and watched the very gradual improvements made to accommodate tourists. We have often admired the appearance and situation of the building which became La Ribezza Hotel--a very elegant Liberty style at possibly the highest point in Monforte, with vineyard immersion and wonderful views of the village. So of course, we had to book it! I can report that we were very impressed with the entire operation and that we look forward to a return visit. The public areas are nicely furnished and lavishly decorated. There are a small pool, an outdoor terrace for drinks/snacks, an area that doubles as the breakfast area and then a bar area in the afternoon, and a small sitting lounge on the other side of reception. The rooms are indeed on the smallish side, but ours was well laid out, with a very comfortable bed, and good illumination. The building is far enough from the road that traffic noise was not a problem. As a treat, small cakes/cookies and teas are available all day--and I can't be sure, but it seemed to me that these are made in house. To us, what sets La Ribezza apart is the staff. From reception, to housekeeping, to the bar/breakfast (they do very good pancakes!) staff, everyone is helpful, friendly, responsive, and gracious. This transforms a nice stay into a fine one. One word of advice--to enjoy Monforte d'Alba the most, you will need to be able to handle some pretty steep hills--all downhill to the main piazza, but a fairly strenuous uphill all the way back. Or you can just stay in the hotel and chill.…
The property looks really beautiful and its location on the hill is amazing. The price they ask is really on a 5* level but there are so many gaps to deserve this 5th star. It started with the room we booked, they called it an executive room but we discovered to late that this was the name of the cheapest room. A small room with only a small window to get some daylight and almost now space around the comfortable bed. There is no water offered and ‘free’ coffee consists of only 2 nespresso cups with additional cups offered at the reception at 1 euro each... Although we drove almost 6 hours to get there, we even didn’t get a welcome drink offered. There is an unheated pool which is very very small and surrounded by too many beds which makes it too full around the pool. The free flavoured water at the pool is a nice geste. There is no additional service at the pool so if want anything you have to go to the bar by yourself. At arrival we had lunch but the selection is minimal and the quality not more than avarage. Waiting times to get serviced are awful. We travel quite a lot and usually don’t spend 300 euro a night, even not in 5* hotels, so expections were set quite high and we expected a real 5 start treatment. As an example: No towel replacement when the rooms are checked before the night. They say in the advertisement that there is a restaurant but that is actually outside the property and a few hunderd meters down the hill. Although the quality is quite good, the restaurant understands high pricing as well. The breakfast for 22 euro each was quite good although we missed the real fresh juice and nice selection of breadrolls. We read all the positive reviews of the hotel and we took the chance. Unfortunately we lost. Our rating here at Tripadvisor cannot exceed the level avarage and if we had to estimate the hotel classification if would not get more then 4 stars. …
This is a small luxury boutique hotel in one of the most beautiful areas. Rooms are really well equipped. The swimming pool is superb. Breakfast is just excellent. The staff are hospitable and friendly.
