We stayed for 2 nights at Tanagra in one of the garden cottages. We loved the tasteful decoration and attention to detail. The private enclosed braai area led onto the pool and garden and although we could hear the traffic from the road it was very tranquil. A problem with the geyser meant we had to wait quite a while...

I wish that this secret was mine to keep forever....What a wonderful place. Well run, value for money and generally an amazing place to vanish for a tranquil holiday! The cottages are always clean and tidy, the facilities are fantastic, the wine is very good, and the location....is just spectacular.

We had a fantastic stay at Tanagra Hill Cottage. The cottage itself is tucked away on a hillside with great views over the Robertson Wine Valley hills, and more immediately Tanagra's Shiraz vineyards and Karoo scrub. Cottage is well-appointed and very comfortable, with lots of nice touches e.g. the plunge pool, shower window with a view, an excellent folder with...

We had THE most blissful four nights at Faraway cottage at Tanagra farm. The accommodation is perfect, everything so well-thought through, so tastefully done and the setting absolute perfection. The bath in the main room has to be seen to be believed - I thought I would never get my girls out of it. Its for those who want to...

We spent the easter weekend at the Faraway cottage. If you are looking for the most relaxing, luxurious yet comfortable accommodation getaway surrounded by nature, look no further. Truly wonderful, the location is excellent for outdoor enthusiasts, as we could go hiking and mountain biking from our doorstep. The plunge pool is so welcome in the heat of the middle...

We had a wonderful weekend in the Hillside Cottage at Tanagra. Anette and Robert are charming, highly personable, and just very good people. The cottage is sublime for a quiet romantic getaway. It's very tasteful and carefully put together. Just perfect for my taste. Can't wait to stay there again. And to buy more of their delicious wine and grappa!

We spent a blissful weekend at the Hill Cottage, which is the ideal spot for a couple looking to get away from it all for a bit. The cottage has beautiful finishes and is equipped with everything that you need for a weekend away. Tanagra is a beautiful farm and Robert and Anette are very friendly and helpful hosts. The...

My husband and I booked into Tanagra for 3 nights to follow part of the Cape Epic Mountain Bike race. It was absolutely fabulous. We had the loft Studio which has masses of space and a balcony overlooking the dam where we enjoyed our first evening watching the sun set with a bottle of Heavenly Chaos which we had sampled...

My wife and I recently spent a long weekend at Tanagra. We stayed in the Hill Cottage. Set amongst the vineyards overlooking the valley we found this to be the perfect retreat! The cottage is kitted out with everything you may need and more, including an espresso maker and cups! There are both front a back braai areas, which makes...

We received a charming McGregor welcome from Anette and Robert after a long day of delayed flights, traffic jams and the hottest day recorded for years. We stayed in the loft room and were very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding - home made preserves, sourdough rye bread, fresh farm eggs - Highly recommended!

“We have enjoyed the Loft, just upstairs from the tasting room. Perfect place to relax, enough room for us, and outside breakfast on the verandah was a stunner.”

“If you need anything, just ask! Our king size bed had a net, but recommend bringing mosquito spray. A torch or night light is also a good idea as it is very dark at night. Limited cooking facilities. We stayed in the Garden cottage.”
