Cob webs, broken beds, unidentified stains on the mattresses, neglected gardens, lamps with missing bulbs - the management of this hotel makes a total waste of one of the prime locations in Stockholm archipelago. we just had dinner here. liked the nice view but were then surprised by the astonishingly good food at a very low rate. we had fish and seafood stew and a grilled char. really really good!

We stayed at the hotel for one night after not finding any other free rooms in the area. The Strand hotel is situated in a very nice location overlooking the sea, but when approaching the building you can see that it has seen better days. The hotel claims a 4 star rating, God knows on which scale. On a regular 5 star rating, it would only qualify for 1, maybe 2.
