Hotel Nixe Palace earns rave reviews for its extensive amenities, which include spacious rooms with breathtaking ocean views, a varied breakfast selection, and private beach access. The professional staff's hospitality has left many guests eager to return. While the hotel's location is generally praised for its proximity to Palma and beaches, some reviewers desired better seafront connectivity. Although the value is appreciated, especially for the premium ocean view rooms, there are mentions of additional costs for certain amenities. The atmosphere is noted for its comfort and cleanliness is consistently commended. However, occasional feedback suggests some rooms may need updating.

We have just returned from a 5 night break at Nixe Palace, this was our 6th visit and as good as all the previous ones. We stayed in a premium sea view room that has a balcony which overlooked the beach and bay, the views from the balcony are always special and part of the reason we keep returning.
The breakfast menu is extensive with plenty of quality hot and cold options, the hotel was pretty busy but service at breakfast was fast and efficient. We had meals at local restaurants so didnā€™t dine the main hotel restaurant. The hotel felt very Covid secure with plenty of hand sanitizers and distancing where needed, the staff on the front desk were helpful particularly when organising and printing the various covid forms we needed to travel home.

Overall a great little break in the late summer sunshine, hopefully we will be back soon.

We got a premium double room with a sea view which was stunning and cleaners came in daily. The sound of the sea was calming. The bathroom included a shower and a bidet, and was cleaned daily. Toiletries were Bulgari branded. On arrival the porter helped take our suitcases upstairs. There were complimentary bottles of water and pastries waiting for us. Staff efficient, friendly and spoke multiple languages. The all you can eat breakfast was fantastic, with unlimited hot food, fruit, cold meats, pastries, cava, hot drinks, and much more!

The bistro restaurant was reasonably priced, fresh and the waiters were professional. There is a jazz pianist in the evenings. The location is quiet at this time of year, with restaurants, groceries, pharmacy and club within walking distance. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, which takes about 25 mins to Palma. The hotel beach was clean and quiet in March.

More complimentary water and pastries on our last day, and check-out was easy.

The double rooms are two single beds put together - we had asked for a king size bed beforehand, but the room was so nice that we didnā€™t mind!

Only other downside was the outdoor pool was cold (not heated).
Would recommend if you're looking for luxury at a cheaper price.

I was worried about the negative reviews about the service, but donā€™t be put off - the staff were very efficient, professional and serious about their work. Me and my boyfriend had a romantic weekend and were treated very well.

Just returned from a fab week at The Nice Palace. We have visited 3x previously but not for a few years. My first time abroad post Covid , so was thrilled to be in such a lovely place and revisit this memorable hotel.
Had a premium room with sea view which is a must!
Hotel is in a brilliant location overlooking the beach..
Weather was hot so we had to relax and chill, which was easy.
Sunbeds around the pool area, lovely cafe bar for tasty snacks.
Staff without exception, polite, courteous and so helpful.
Nurela, the lovely lifeguard in the pool area was brilliant. She anticipated peoples needs and was very attentive and vigilant regarding small children. She constantly monitored what was going on and if a small child was wandering towards the pool , she was there immediately. You felt very safe when she was around.
The snack bar staff were lovely too.

Our room was spacious with very comfy beds. Housekeeping staff were great.. very helpful and attentive. We didnā€™t want our room cleaned every day but on returning to the room late afternoon, someone was always around to check that we had what we needed.

Breakfast was good, but we had to wait a while on occasions for the poached/scrambled eggs. The hotel was busy so this wasnā€™t a problem.

Reception staff were brilliant both night and day. We arrived late evening and left late evening. We were given a room to use on our departure day which was great.

Bus stop outside and Palma is approx 20/25 mins away for 2Euros on the no 4 bus

Noticed some small cafes and bars on the hotel street, which we frequented for evening meal.
Loved the Cyrano Bar- having good service with fantastic staff and delicious meals. Caesar salad was gorgeous.

Visited the Joan MirĆ³ museum not far from the ho5el on the one slightly dull day, which was interesting.

Palma has wonderful shops and restaurants . Try El Pillon and Tast.

An amazing week in a beautiful hotelā€¦we will be back soon!
Thank you.

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights in the deluxe sea veiw room paying just under 1200.

Bathroom was run down, standard of a premier inn in England, room was ok ( cleaners did a good job everyday) and air con was good.

Views of the sea were outstanding and made the hotel worthwhile for the time we were there.

Asked lady on reception when we arrived if she could recommend any places to eat in Palma and all she could suggest was the Italian over the road.

Asked for a room service breakfast for 30th birthday celebrations and had a difficult time ordering this as the reception guy made me walk back to the room to get a breakfast menu which wasnā€™t even in the room, went back to reception and the guy basically just said he didnā€™t have one either so I asked him if he could just write down what we wanted which he agreed to. I asked for 2 full English breakfasts with champagne ( a moet or something similar), it arrived in the morning and it was a bottle of cava with some pastries which must have been picked from the breakfast buffet, some toast and some undercooked bacon and egg. Most disappointing 70 euro breakfast.

Later again in the week we asked if we could pay to eat breakfast in the restaurant (hoping this would be more positive) and the same guy (who was a night receptionist) couldnā€™t tell us what time breakfast was so we missed this coming down at ten as they were already clearing away.

Pool area was ok as quiet (hardly any tourist due to Covid) Wouldnā€™t have been impressed if it was busy as the area and pool were very small and pool run down.

Pool bar served good food until Thursday when we ordered a hot dog (which was expensive) and it came with one sausage soggy bread and lettuce, sent this back as everyday weā€™d ordered a hot dog and had a much bigger better presented portion, the second time it came out the hot dog was cold clearly straight out of the jar so we settled for some chips third time lucky.

Ok experience but underwhelmed for the price, 5 star views for a very average hotel.

Would opt for a nicer hotel in the centre and have a beach day where the hotel is located so you can still enjoy the view.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for choosing us to enjoy your holidays in Majorca as well as the time spent sharing your experience on Trip Advisor. We feel sorry, that the hotel has not met your expectations this time. Restaurants and other services were still limited. In the nearby Ć”rea at this time the Italian Restaurant was the best choice to eat outside the hotel. Due to Covid we are not allowed to use the menĆŗ in the restaurants or room service and breakfast. I do apologize for the delayed digital QR codes which are ordered to provide the saftey regulations for our guests. Our breakfast buffett closes at 10:30h and we always leave time for our guests as we understand that we are in an extraordinary time and want to transmit tranquility and saftey. Our staff works day by day to fullfill your dreams and create unforgettable stays for you. We hope to see you back at the Nixe Palace***** Greetings from your Guest Service

First and foremost Hotel Nixe handles the challenges in regards to the Covid-19 situation with great care and professionalism without making it a big issue during your stay. We felt safe and very well serviced at all times. The location is wonderful, the beach and crystal clear water is perfect for swimming and the pool area is great for chilling during the day. The rooms are spacious and the views are beautiful. The breakfast is very well assorted. The surrounding area is quite calm and you can find some nice restaurants within walking distance. We rented a couple of bikes and went to Palma in the evening for dinner - highly recommendable - 15 minutes ride and not much traffic.

The setting is beautiful and the beach is directly accessible from the hotel - not across the road. Lovely terraces and a small pool overlook the cove. A taxi ride to the old town. Great if you want a beach but don't want to be too far from the city. Taxis often stop across the street when dropping you off if coming from downtown. Have to cross a street where the traffic is swift so be careful. There are some small grocery stores and reasonably priced restaurants on the same street. The building is modernized and the room decor though dated is okay. The bedrooms have aircon that works (necessary still in November). The bathrooms have bidet. Seaview rooms have lovely balconies where you can hear the waves and look at the lovely beach. Breakfast is expensive so I relied on the grocery stores nearby. The front desk staff is efficient and fluent in English. About covid testing - make sure they call and check before you go. One clinic recommended was closed for the season after I walked there so had to go to the hospital 10 mins away by taxi. Remember to put the do not disturb sign up over night. Housekeeping entered at 8am without waiting for a response. Wifi is a bit tricky and you need to login repeatedly. They need to simplify it and make sure one login is enough per stay. There was a water supply breakdown for a couple of hours.

Fantastic room free upgrade to Super Sea view Massive balcony and beautiful view of the beach and out to sea. The Hotel is a little way outside Palma City centre but really good bus service into town every 15 minutes for less than 2 Euro. The Hotel buffet breakfast provided plenty of choice to suit all tastes Spa and Pool Beach areas clean and well looked after. Would I stay here again 100% percent visited off season will revisit in season. Staff Multi lingual heard them speaking English, French, German and Dutch.

Not a five start hotel. We booked a city view room, which was nice room except the AC wasn't working neither did the phone by our night stand. You would think that at a five star hotel, they would check for these amenities. Front desk moved us to another room, which was such a downgrade from the city view to the inland view room (concrete view) and two double beds instead of one. Nonetheless we weren't going to let this ruin our honeymoon since we now have a functioning AC unit. It was impossible to sleep beyond 8:30 am at this place because the house cleaning was done so early. Doors were constantly being slammed as people/house keepers moved from one room to the next. There's also a sense that there was poor management. Overall staff members were not very thrilled to help you besides two people. Front staff didn't know when SPA people came into work, we had to call early in the morning to check. We also learned that there was only one SPA person working there, so only one person could do a SPA treatment one at a time. House keeper still came into our room at 9 am even when we put the do not disturb sign and proceeded to charge us for water we did not take. This was squared away with front desk. Hand soap dispenser didn't work, but no one bothered to check. Pool was small, SPA was ok. The beach was nice, but overall, we expected the level of the service and amenities to be better for a 5 star hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing the Nixe Palace for your recent stay on Mallorca and for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. Our procedure is to check the room with its instalation before making any check in. I need to apologize if this was not the case. Our employees all know the SPA opening hours, obviously they would not know which SPA attendant is working on which days. The housekeeping would knock on your door for the turndown service and to place the free water, but not with the do not distrub sign on. This must be a misunderstaning or have a different explanation, which unfortunately we wont find out. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Sincerely, Guest Service Guest Service

I note while writing this review that 2 of the previous reviewers stayed in the Royal suites so their experience is not exactly representative of a typical stay.

We're staying in a 'Junior' suite which is literally a larger than standard room. It is not a suite by any stretch of the imagination, neither is the 4 star status afforded to this hotel which i can categorically state it is not. Our 'suite' is tired with major need of painting both inside and on the terrace.

Food here is distinctly average with service in the food areas being well below average. Poolside service bells get ignored by staff when trying to order food so you have no choice but to go to the bar to order directly.

Breakfast selection very average again where you get the feeling you aren't overly welcome when eating there particularly by one gentleman at the front desk.

Last night we ate in their beach restaurant and where literally ignored for our meal because some local 'somebody' was a guest which apparently required all 5 service staff to focus their attentions on his party of 7 after we had spent over ā‚¬200 for 2 of us.

In summary there are real 5 star hotels in Palma of a calibre far better than this good 3 star property.

Spend your money elsewhere !

We spent three nights here mid May. A lovely, relaxed few days in a great hotel. We will return. Staff friendly, beach in front is great, beds are super comfortable, lovely views from our eighth floor balcony.

Yes Cala Major is not the most upmarket place but the hotel is on the outskirts and as far as we could see the first location from Palma centre that has a proper beach rather than a marina view. Ten mins by taxi to the city centre.

Hotel restaurant was great for dinner when we arrived late at night and a final lunch before we left. Breakfast was great. Two minor points- firstly our toiletries in our room were not full, they should be filled before every guests arrival I feel. By the end of our stay getting hair conditioner from the pump was a five minute job!! Secondly breakfast buffet (superb choice) needs small plates and spoons need to be laid on the table with knives, forks and coffee cups. Minor points.

We will return, we have decided it will become our child free mini break spot!
