Terrific stay. Located near port and all the restaurants but on a quiet street. The owner/manager is delightful and very helpful in terms of suggestions and making dinner reservations for us. We had a large first floor suite and it was very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent - great variety and sitting in a nice outdoor patio. Great views from the outdoor veranda as well. Highly recommend.

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, my husband and I decided to stay at this hotel. The reviews were correct. The Hotel Cotommatae was a wonderful place to stay. Yiannis, the manager, was very helpful in recommending a restaurant and various things to do. Our room was wonderful. Comfortable bed and nice living room space. The breakfast was outstanding, with delicious pastries, eggs and a variety of cheeses. We will definitely stay here again.

My stay here was absolutely wonderful. I was consistently surprised by the hospitality of everyone working there, from the concierges to the maids. And the breakfasts!! So delicious, thoughtful, and high quality. Make sure to try to cherries by the yogurt - they are made by the concierges’ mother! I will be back the first chance I get.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Cotommatae Hotel Hydra! The location is perfect - an easy 10-minute walk from where the ferry drops you. The hotel sends someone to help you with your luggage and lead you to the hotel. The hotel is a gorgeous historic house. We stayed in The Sponges Suite which was incredible- loft with a king size bed and our own sundeck terrace. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were all so friendly and helpful!

What a wonderful boutique hotel. Yanni greeted us with a homemade Greek sweet and smile. He gave us a map along with beach and restaurant recommendations which we took (and were pleased with his choices). We were in the pigeon room with a private hot tub. The website pictures didn’t do this room justice. Everything was stunning. The linens are monogrammed. The decorations are authentic, traditional, and beautiful. The walls and ceiling are simply old world mansion. Deep windows cut into the walls make you wonder about this home’s history. The bathroom is on the lower level which makes it a little private but requires a few steps down tiled floors. The bedroom is up a flight of wooden stairs. Bed and pillows were luxurious for this price point. This room is designed for younger couples. There is a courtyard in front of the room and it is an garden oasis from the sun. Tables and couches make it a nice place to sit. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Coffee was very good. We took long walks from this hotel and it is about 4 minutes to Leonard Cohen’s house if you are interested. The hotel arranged to pick us up from the port for 10 euros which was helpful as we were concerned about locating the hotel. The walk is easy and we ended up not needing transport assistance when leaving. Took so many pictures and would definitely come back here.…

This family-owned hotel is in a beautifully renovated mansion. It is located on a quiet street away from the noisy waterfront, yet within walking distance of tourist sites, shopping and restaurants. Arrangements were made to transport our luggage from the ferry to the hotel. Upon check-in, we were given a map of Hydra and excellent restaurant recommendations. The hotel is well maintained & housekeeping is superb. The bed linens were lovely and our room was very quiet. The shower was great. Agli set up the daily breakfast buffet and assisted us with the small details that surface during a vacation. He always had a smile! We enjoyed breakfast on one of the two terraces. Our vacation on the island of Hydra was certainly enhanced by our stay at Cotommatae.

The House is so authentic and charming. Amazing staff and gorgeous rooms. We stayed in the celar suite. 2 nights was perfect for this stay. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended! Everything is walking distance but still not too close from the port making it very quiet and relaxing. You won’t be disappointed
