This was our fourth visit to the Rasananda, with our first visit being ten years ago and our previous visit last year. The resort looks much the same and has been very well maintained in all areas. The gardens and lagoons are just as stunning as they always were and it is situated on a very beautiful and peaceful location with a very clean beach. But for us, what really makes this resort stand out is the staff, some of whom we have known since our first visit all those years ago. All staff members are very courteous and friendly and all guests are now assigned a villa host who are on hand to provide a very personal level of service. The food at the resort is also top quality and well worth trying, particularly as some of the places in the village are a bit hit and miss. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Rasananda, which for us is a very special place and one we hope to return to again next year. It really is a true paradise.
We would particularly like to praise our villa host Nonnie, who is a real star, and Tua who is so kind and helpful. The staff in the restaurants and bar areas were also great, including Ple, Simon, Tarn, Sai, Aom, James, Pat, Beer, Por, Bim, King, and Nadia. They were all so friendly and nice to talk to. Many thanks also to Bass and the boys on the beach, and Tik our housekeeper.

We stayed here in February and this was our first visit to Koh Phangan. The resort is situated on the beautiful Thong Nai Pan Noi beach and is absoluely stunning. The grounds are immaculate, it's like walking through a jungle setting and the rooms are beautiful there are only 64 private suites and Villas.We stayed in a Garden Pool Suite which was huge and had a small plunge pool situated in the immaculate garden area. The room itself was very clean, spacious and had everything you could possibly need incuding a coffee machine, extremely comfortable king size bed and well equiped bathroom with a huge shower room. The staff here are different class every one was pleasant and always willing to chat and most of them knew you by name, special mentions to Tua who greeted us most mornings at breakfast with her lovely smile, Htein and all the Pool/ Beach boys who were just great fun and nothing was too much trouble for them and the biggest call out goes to our lovely housekeeper Aoi who did a wonderful job and always had time for a chat with us and really went the extra mile to make our stay special, she is a huge asset to the hotel. Brekfast is very good, there is a huge choice of hot and cold options both Asian and western and I would say it is one of the best we have ever had, you can even get a glass of bubbly with your breakfast. The management team were very visible and happy to have a chat with you and they must be very proud of their fantastic resort and staff. we were very sad to leave hoewever getting on to the speedboat from the beach and loads of people waving goodbye did put a smile on my face.
Would we return - in a heartbeat this is one of the best places we have ever stayed and we've been to a few, we left here with loads of happy memories.

We had a fantastic time here when we stayed at Rasananda in November in 2020. We were picked up directly from our flight to Koh Samui and taken by speedboat directly to the beach in front of the resort. While Koh Phangan has plenty of gorgeous beaches, this is a real standout - very picturesque and quiet with excellent swimming. We had a wonderful room right on the beachfront with its own sala and private plunge pool. Everything in the room was perfect and, as to be expected from an Anantara resort, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. The breakfast and food were great (excellent cheese options) and there were other restaurants just a short walk down the beach or in the village when we wanted to try to something new. While it’s in a relatively remote location, it's very easy to get out and explore the island as the road in and out of the village is good. We can not recommend this resort enough. We initially intended to stay there for three nights, but extended our stay to a week as we liked it so much.

We stayed 2 nights at the Anantara Rasananda Phangan and we weren’t disappointed at all. The resort provide a unique service called a Villa Host, the said person will be reaching you out couple of days prior to the arrival to get to know you and your preferences which will be arranged accordingly upon your arrival, Very convenient to have only one person looking after all your needs especially with the current pandemic situation.
The beach front garden Pool suite is just mind blowing, big enough for a small family, Apple TV and JBL speaker are provided, Something really special. Nespresso Machine with Capsules on side, Small Milk packet in the fridge and bottled water are also provided.
Last but not least the service in this resort is just outstanding, Everyone goes beyond and above to meet all your expectations.
If you want to get spoiled, just book Anantara Rasananda and let their team do the rest.

This is one of the best luxury resort hotels I've stayed in. It achieves the perfect balance of luxury, discretion and undaunting informality. You feel immediately welcome and at home. Everything you need is there, but the village behind the hotel also contains good restaurants and massage spas (a little cheaper than the hotel).
There's not that much to see on the island, and whilst it's worth venturing out to look at, if not to swim from, some other beaches, see some shops, the rain-forested hills, and a temple or two, there's nowhere that's actually nicer than the hotel.
Food is also excellent, though one can tire of buffets. The New Year's Eve Gala Dinner was superb - but expensive - and if you don't like noisy music take your earplugs.
We will almost certainly return.

This place was magical! The beach was super nice, the grounds of the hotel breathtaking and the room was beautifully laid out.
I’m a very active person so I spend less time in hotels generally but my room was so well laid out that I find myself lazing in the private pool a couple of occasions. Unlike any other Anantaras I’ve been to this one is not too grand sized and a fantastic beach is 3 steps away. Great vibe!
The take back is the service! My room butler Khun Pla, was super helpful organizing all my transfers around the island and trust me I went all over! She also made sure to check in on me periodically- a nice touch since it’s busy season.
I will definitely come back. Didn’t wanted to leave In the first place!

We were staying on the third week of April 2021 as a getaway of a Samui getaway. We wished we staying longer than two nights. The weather was not too hot, the beach was very clean and the water was sparkling clear and calm. One morning when I was swimming across the bay there was a small fish following me all the way! I felt blessed for my Koh Phangan visit staying at Anantara.
The resort is nestled on the premium side of the island which can be accessed by a short resort speed boat ride from Samui. The concept of the resort is very soothing and nurturing; from the very healthy breakfast, the tastefully wood & terrazzo floor villa and the nature engaged location of the spa.
The pool bar is really good for champagne sipping in the afternoon. There are also some selection of beautifully decorated restaurants just outside the hotel.

We spend 4 nights in a pool balcony room. The room is big and nice. The hotel staff is very nice and do what ever is needed to help you. We booked 3 rooms and had some problems with one of the room. They change this room the day after( since the hotel was full), and for apologizing the manager's hotel offer us complimentary dinner for all the familly( 6 adults) and we though it was very generous to do that, so thank you again for the great hospitality! I definitly will recommand this hotel, the location is stunning, the swimming pool and the beach,so lovely! The breakfast was very good and generous. The only negative point for me are the prices of the spa(more than 100 euros for a 90 mn massage seems to me very high price, it's for sure more expensive than in very nice places i tried in Europe.

Five star quality and service starting from checking in. Spacious, clean and well equipped rooms/villas. Excellent breakfast buffet. Amazing staff. Best hotel on the island located at a beautiful beach. You can enjoy sunrise from here. This obviously comes at a price, but the hotel offers daily specials at their restaurant, SPA, or bar. Room rates for comparable rooms are however not materially higher than of the neighboring hotels such as Panviman or BuriRasa - but here for true 5 star standards.

The staff here are very polite and care for your well-being and safety. They have great hospitality and is very detailed in setting up the rooms. We had a bubble bath and snacks prepared and they were very nice and helpful in telling us all the service there was. During this COVID-19 time they ensure us with safety by disinfecting every small object and also have stickers indicating new toilet rolls and other stuff to make sure it’s clean. The built architecture is fantastic showing old local culture such as in the doors and vernacular as each villa has very good ventilation and design. The view is heavenly and they have paddle boards and kayaks that you can take out to play anytime. But simply swimming and enjoying the atmosphere is more than worth it. The beach is just slightly sloped and very nice sand so it’s great for kids. The water isn’t too deep and there isn’t rocks under so you can safely play and swim.
