My sister and I traveled to Montfaucon to paint with a watercolor group. Beautiful accommodations, great day trips for painting and photographing, amazing meals - everything was top notch. Our delightful hosts, Penny and Nicolina, took care of every possible detail and anticipated every need. Dawn and Mo provided a delicious breakfast and a cheerful start to every day. Loved... More

We had a wonderful trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Montfaucon. Our room was lovely, with a river view and very peaceful. The beds were very comfortable & we slept well. The hotel is fully remodeled, but tastefully done with much of the original charm in tact. The staff is very friendly and makes one feel welcome at every... More

Montfaucon is a wonderful hideaway in Limoux, FR. The accomodations and food are amazing and the guides Penny and Nicolina thought of everything. We couldn't have asked for any better staff at the hotel - Mo and Dawn who greeted us cheerfully every morning after they had prepared a delicious breakfast. On our evenings "in", Jean Francois spoiled us with... More

Enjoyed this small boutique hotel immensely, even though there is no elevator. The furnishings make you feel like you are staying with friends in their home. Our tour guides, Penny and her assistant Nicolina, were terrific. The staff at the hotel, Mo and Dawn took good care of our group and everything was thoughtfully provided. The food is excellent, with... More

Montfaucon is a exquisitely restored residence overlooking the Aude river in the small town of Limoux in South Eastern France. It is off the beaten track in a beautiful forested valley on the edge of the Pyrenees mountains. Great restaurants, pastry shops, open markets, ancient abbeys and castles are plentiful throughout this historic Languedoc region. The Montfaucon staff is very... More

This is a beautiful, small hotel on the Aude River, a 10 minute walk from Limoux's lovely and vibrant central square. The building itself is among the oldest in Limoux and has been beautifully restored, blending its historic charm and authenticity with full modern conveniences. The staff is gracious, hospitable and very knowledgable about the area. I highly recommend Montfaucon... More

Montfaucon Tours provided an excellent venue for Nina Weiss' Painting Vacation. Not only were the accommodations lovely and clean, the 10 day seminar was treated to the most amazing chef and local restaurants. Day trips, driven by tour staff, provided carefree transportation to and from the beautiful French countryside for drawing/painting. Also, visits to area points of interest for shopping,... More

The Montfaucon is an up scale, charming, romantic hotel. Its one of the best kept secret in France. I have been there twice and dream of going back. It's a lovely b and b Hotel that is based on old history as long ago it was the main gate of the city. The owner has restored the hotel, it has... More

I have just finished a week long cycling tour with Montfaucon Tours. The hotel, setting, meals, and staff are impeccable, and the cycling team excellent. The rides were selected and coordinated for the variety of riders, and the support was superb. This is my second cycling tour here, and while the first visit was outstanding, Montfaucon has taken the tour... More

“The first time I was at Montfaucon I stayed on the river side and had a beautiful view of the Aude from the third floor. The second time I was on the second floor, on the street side and I have to say they both had their charm.”

“My room faced the street and, though the other side of the house overlooked the river, it can be noisy if there is partying going on in town. So I have no complaints-- my room was beautfully appointed and quite large. I shared it with another woman and we had plenty of space.”
