Villa Julio is located within its own walled garden with tennis court and BBQ on site. The views from the large balcony and swimming pool is superb, looking out towards the sea to trogir, the mountains and islands. The pool is clean, quiet with plenty of sun loungers to cater for the villa guests. The accommodation is spacious, with a large lounge and two good sized double bedrooms. The kitchen is small but functional with a hob but no grill or oven. Josip the owner lives on site and is there to deal with any queries and is very helpful and friendly. The resort is quiet, with plenty of places to eat within a 5 min walk from the villa. It is mainly a family centred resort with no loud bars or clubs. There is quite a steep hill from the beach to the villa which could potentially be quite hard for less fit or physically able people to negotiate especially in the heat. Overall superb accommodation, lovely resort, and excellent service from Josip. Thank you for a great holiday.

We spent 2 weeks enjoying Josip's hospitality at Villa Julio, the location is superb with a short walk to a variety of restaurants and bars and the water taxi's into Trogir as well as Split and KRKA National Park being a short drive away. Also a must visit is Rogoznica just 20 mins away by car. We stayed in the stone house , a 2 bedroomed place (with everything you need) in the grounds, large enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and only 20 paces from the pool, Tennis Court and BBQ. Josip and his family very helpful with all our requests. We highly recommend Villa Julio and intend to go back again in the near future (and this from a family that doesn't normally go back to where we've been previously)

I cannot recommend Villa Julio enough! Josip the owner who lives on site could not do enough to ensure we had an excellent time. Anything we wanted it was done! Clean apartment and pool , AC in the rooms would have been good but AC was in the lounge which did a good job. However asked to borrow a couple of fans and Josip sorted the next day with no questions. 5* service in my books

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a week holiday at villa julio and I couldn't recommend it enough. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves as I think September is considered out of season. The apartment itself is definitely better than the photos and the Balcony and view is absolutely amazing. One of the things we miss the most! The second bedroom links to the lounge so if you are 4 people it would make the lounge a bit on the small side but still adequate. The pool is gorgeous and tennis court is great. Josip lent us rackets and we played most days, the court is in a great condition. The whole grounds of the block of apartments are so well looked after, beautiful olive trees, mandarin, pomegranate trees, turtles and all looking over the sea. Really stunning setting. Yes there definitely is a bit of a hill climb back up to the apartment from the seafront but it's not that bad and we need the exercise so wasn't an issue for us. Josip was great and really helpful, he organised us transfers (which were quite expensive given the journey time but very convenient!) which was a great help. Location wise, we loved it. The apartment is literally 5 mins downhill to the sea front and I actually loved the beach closest to the apartment. The water was crystal clear, absolutely gorgeous. The beaches are shingle but it's quite fine so isn't painful to walk on particularly and means that the water is just so beautiful. It's just a short walk to lots of bars and restaurants however these were very quiet in September so we usually got a boat to trogir in the evening or walked to Seget old town (about a 20min walk in the other direction) which both had more going on. Trogir is much more touristy with loads of restaurants and yachts! The old town in Seget is a sleepy fishing village which is really lovely and has a few restaurants which get quite busy, Antonio's was our favourite, it's tucked away in the lanes and has the most amazing food. We met a couple in their who had eaten there 5 nights in a row! We did a boat trip to split and also the 3 islands boat trip, both from Seget, outside hotel medena, just 10 min walk away. Highly recommend the boat trips, the islands were AMAZI NG and definitely the highlight of my holiday! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We had a perfect week and fully relaxed which was exactly what we needed! It was very quiet in the evening but I think that's because it's September, a bit further afield there was more going on so it wasn't a problem. Thanks Josip for a fantastic week, we will definitely come back.

We have just recently returned from 12 days at this apartment which was superb. We are a family of 4 with two young children. The owner Josep and his family are lovely people and were very kind to us always going out of their way to help us. It is located a very short drive from Split airport and it is positioned on a hillside with stunning views of the coast and nearby islands. It has a lovely pool and a tennis clay court on site. There are cats and tortoises wandering around which we loved. There is a supermarket only a 10 minute walk away next to the Hotel Medena. It is possible to pick-up a water taxi below (10 minute walk along the waterfront to the jetty at Seget) to Trogir which takes a further 25 minutes. Please note for those with walking difficulties there is a steep hill between the property and the Seget waterfront. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. Also crazy golf, trampoline and bumper cars for the kids (they call it the baby park!) Trogir is a charming UNESCO walled city (with good restaurants and cafes in squares) but please note it is very busy in the summer months (a combination of tourism and the nearby marina). From Trogir it is also possible to get water taxis to various beaches on the larger Ciovo island (25 minutes) and Split (50 minutes). We also enjoyed various activities including sea kayaking and a boat trip to 3 islands including Solta (which both leave from Seget). We booked these through Trogir travel agency who we found very good. We also visited the nearby village and beach of Marina which is attractive.

I will start with the potential downsides of this accommodation in order for the reader to review how important these issues are…. • Steep walk uphill from beach and restaurants maybe 7-8 minutes, my kids 7 and 8 managed without any problem. • The beach or places to swim is not the most beautiful closest to the Villa, for really nice places follow the beach walk in the opposite direction of Trogir old town for about 20-25 minutes and you will have stunning places to swim and relax. • It takes 30 minutes to walk to Trogir old town and the way there is ugly. There is however boat-busses that is very convenient maybe 8-9 minutes’ walk from the villa. • The apartments are not modern in terms of furniture and style but balcony is great and the rooms are spacious everything is nice and clean • The gym is outdated and not working very well This is it for the potential negative part…. There are good restaurants (tourist good) close to the villa serving seafood and meet. The pool area and surrounding garden inclusive of a well maintained tennis court is just stunning. Best place we as a family has ever stayed. The host himself (Josip) inclusive of his parents is just so friendly and helpful and makes you feel extremely comfortable and at home. If you need to borrow a tennis racket or help with some laundry getting a taxi etc. this will be no problem. I can just recommend this place to anyone!

I’ve just come home from 2 weeks in these apartments and have had a wonderful time. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and our friends (also families with teenagers) hired another 2 apartments. The apartments are great (probably a bit better than appear in the pictures), kept very clean and have wonderful views from the balconies. The kitchen wasn’t up to much (only a two ring cooker and a microwave oven) but then that is a great excuse to eat out. A nice big fridge is provided but it didn’t have a freezer section. We tended to eat out. The food generally was lovely and very reasonably priced. For those nights we ate in, we used the communal BBQ. This was such a lovely setting, along with all the garden and pool areas. Josip was very helpful, although hard to find sometimes. I got his mobile number and texted him when I had any questions, and this worked very well. There was clean towels provided every few days and clean sheets once a week. We gave a load of clothes that needed washing to Josip’s mother (in the ground floor apartment) which were returned the same day, neatly folded and ironed. Here are some things we would recommend (or not): take the water taxi to Trogir for a morning coffee and visit to the market. It is 5 minutes walk from the apartment and runs about every 10 minutes. The big Llidl at the airport is crap but cheap. The supermarket on the main road in Trogir (opposite the market) had much more choice (including fresh milk). Get all you fresh foods from the market. It is very good. We usually hire a car (we had one for 5 days) but I don’t think we needed it. Krka National Park was too busy, we didn't enjoy it. White water rafting was very good. We booked an excursion i.e. a taxi to take us. ‘Fish Picnics’ excursions takes you to Solta island and then the Blue Lagoon (where you can swim off the boat). We really enjoyed this and because there was 13 of us we were able to get a boat exclusively for our use. We hired a speed boat with water ski’s and a ‘doughnut’. This was a great hit. The beach front was very commercial but great for the kids to go on the Banana boat and some inflatable playground thing. Etc. Our favorite restaurant was the Pasike in Trogir who served a traditional set menu (5 courses with 5 wines). All in all we had a great time and would recommend it.

I have just come back from a long weekend to these apartments with my friends. It was a short flight from Gatwick and a ten minute transfer from the airport. The apartments are lovely and look out onto our private pool. The view from the balconies is beautful of the sea and surrounding area. Josip looked after us and arranged transport to and from the airport. He also booked us into 'The Cave' restaurant on our first night which was literally built into a Cave and was great food. Croatia was lovely and I would definitely go again and would recommend these apartments to anyone.

Our family (me and two my daughters, 9 and 14) travelled to Croatia as a part of children dance team participating in the dance fest in Trogir. First we were going to stay in Medena hotel but our friend proposed to book the apartments at villa Julio not far from it. Though we made it short-term luckily there were still free apartments and I am happy about this choice. We have only best impressions about this time though it was a little bit hard to come back and forth to Medena to join the main group. But these are our personal circumstances not related to the holidays at villa. We travel a lot and usually book hotel rooms so it was our first and very positive experience with apartments. Everything was so cozy, comfortable and in a family way. The apartment had two bedrooms, one living room with kitchen area and a spacious balcony. As our friend booked apartment next to us the dividing wall on the balcony was removed and we got a huge terrace with a great sea view. We preferred to rest from cooking and dined at the restaurants, there are many alongshore. Our favorites were Joke’s for pizza and fish, Segetski dvori for sea food, Pecena (right across the street from villa) for meat dishes. But sometimes we stayed at the villa and cooked breakfast or lunch. It was very convenient as the kitchen has all necessary dishes and fridge. The room is air conditioned but the weather was not quite hot to use it often. A big bonus for our kids as well for us was a swimming pool. Our children spent most of the free time there. I preferred sea and it was perfect but pool was quite pleasing in the hot noon when we were back from the beach. The territory is nice, clean and quiet, with olive and lemon trees, barbeque and tennis court. Special thanks to the host Josip who was very friendly and forward to assist with some issues like car renting, transfer from/to the airport etc. We brought also a delicious olive oil from his plantations. All in all the atmosphere and our stay was very positive and relaxing but not boring there. Certainly it is a place I would recommend (and actually I did) to my friends and where I would like to come back.

We have just returned from staying in Villa Julio and the neighbouring Villa Irena. We had a large party and the flexible accommodation was excellent. The Hosts Josip and his family were very helpful. The location is great with the sea just a short walk away with water taxis to take you to the local town of Trogir. This is our second trip to these Villas and I recommend them very highly.
