#2 of 11 in Klimno
Camping Slamni in Klimno is a four star camp for family, relaxation and health by the seashore. It is situated in the north-east of the island of Krk, in one of its most preserved oases, the Soline bay, which is known for the mud used in treatment of skin diseases and rheumatic disorders. The protected bay and the shallow warm sea, as well as the favorable climate, allow swimming and enjoying the beach activities not only in high season but also during spring and late fall. Geographically, the camp gently flows into the inlet Slamni with a pebble beach where the sea is in the first few meters really shallow, therefore convenient for bathing of even the smallest children.

It was our first micro-camping. Nice experience !!! Everything was within a 30m range. Parking, restaurant, beachbar, beach. Very friendly staff allround !!!! Good food at the restaurant. Very good prices !!!! Of course, because everything is so near, so is the "noice" of the neighbours. The free fishermans evening is a very friendly inititative towards the guests. Really enjoyed our stay !!!

We went to Slamni camp just on a visit and to see, how is it working. We were very satisfied with the staff at the bar, prices are not too high, the location of the bar is great. Just beside the bar, there is a pool for children and a playground. The beach is clean and nicely organized (should have some more umbrellas for shadow), but unfortunately situated just by the dock. The camp looks nice and tidy, is rather small, but otherwise, it has everything that you need.

We have just spent four nights there, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, we had a choice of pitches which are all very big and I would have got my caravan onto any of them but this time we had a tent ant the gravel base was no problem at all in fact it was very clean. All have power and water, good shower facilities which seem to be constantly cleaned along with washing machines and family rooms. They have a beautiful beach, bar , kids pool all you could really want. The water is not crystal clear but we had a kayak and found some easily and o would probably agree the. Two more showers are required but having said that I never queued for a shower, it’s easy to find, quiet, very kid friendly and a lovely village on the door step.

Tiny tent pitches, all gravel surface which makes it hard to put up a tent properly, clean toilets but with only two showers for the whole camp you had to queue for about half an hour to shower. We'd much rather have more showers than a jacuzzi that turns of every couple of minutes and is so cold you can barely stand sitting there. Location is OK.

We decided to stay in camp Slamni after finding on the net that it got a reward the best small campsite in Croatia. I must agree that it has almost all the amenities that a good camp ought to have but it lacks one key quality, CLEAR WATER. The see is really unclear, while standing in the water knee deep you cannot see your feet, this is due to its layout and cannot be helped. All other things including the staff is great and I recommend staying here. We stayed here with a camper for a few days, but left because of bad weather.
