I stayed a night when in Cornwall for a friends wedding. The room was perfect, comfortable with plenty of parking. Great value. If you do need a taxi I strongly recommend booking well in advance as there are very few in the area. Abigail was very friendly, I would strongly recommend!

We are cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats and arrived tired and in need of a cup of tea. Abigail was a great host. The room was comfortable and nothing too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this lovely B&B. Good local pub and convenience store. Great overnight stop.

We stayed in an annex to the main building, with two beds (double and single), a small eating area, en-suite bathroom (with both shower and bath) and and a kitchin. Our entire group (which consisted of several rooms in the main house also) were very pleased with the whole experience, it was effortless and enjoyable. The hostess was particularly helpful...

We recently stayed for three nights in the studio attached to Lynwood House B&B. It was everything we wanted - clean and spacious and well equipped. We chose Tregony in order to be a little out of one of the major tourist spots and this worked very well for us as it was so easy to use it as a...

We had just about given up looking for a B&B within easy reach of Falmouth when we came across Lynwood. It was worth the search. Abigail is the perfect host, friendly, obliging and ship shape. Our room was very comfortable and adequately appointed. The communal dining was as a B&B should be with guests being able to meet and exchange...

Two things are guaranteed on arrival at Lynwood House, a very warm welcome and a huge smile! Host Abigail ensures a smooth and friendly stay at this clean and comfortable B and B, at the gateway to the Roseland. Simply furnished rooms are quiet and bright, with TV and en-suite facilities. Excellent breakfast with freshly made fruit salad. I highly...

We stayed here a few weeks ago and the place was great. It had everything we needed and the place was immaculate. Abigail was very friendly and helpful too. We would definitely stay here again. Location was good and you are only a short drive from numerous tourist locations. Tony & Sam :)

We stayed here recently and really enjoyed it. We had a very warm welcome and Lynwood has a pleasant family-feel to it. As a B&B it is well organised and nicely relaxed. Comfy bed, lovely home-cooked food enjoyed in the large breakfast room and all good value. Well done!

Nicest host (Abigail) and family. Clean well appointed room. This is what a B & B should be. Family run and fits (apparently) seamlessly into their family's life style. Breakfast was excellent and at one large table (for me a plus) not like hotel all guests separate and enjoyed the interchange with other traveler's. Perhaps my favorite experience of our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lynwood House has been a bed and breakfast for many years and was taken over by Abigail and Jeremy Merrick in 2008. They welcome you most warmly and are open all year.Lynwood House has twin and double rooms available. Three of these are situated in the main house and all have en-suite with shower, basin and loo. Additionally this year, luxury self contained accommodation is available in the studio. The very spacious bedroom and open plan living area has a generous en-suite with separate shower, bath, basin, bidet and loo.Bedrooms either overlook Tregony valley or the south facing garden; they are modestly decorated with country cottons and comfortably furnished. Each room has Wifi, a television with Freeview/DVD player, hairdryer, radio alarm clock, a wide selection of teas and coffees, and a mini fridge for fresh milk. Guests will enjoy soft sheets, fluffy bath towels and hopefully a good night’s rest. Ironing board and iron is available on request.A delicious breakfast will be served on the long dining room table (Abigail is a Leith’s trained chef). You will be offered a continental breakfast Monday to Friday at 8.15am, and a full English cooked breakfast everyday at 9.15am. Vegetarians will be happily catered for if Abigail is advised on booking.Guests who are booked into the studio have the additional option of enjoying a continental breakfast laid out in their room, to have at their leisure.Lynwood House is not licensed, however the local pub and off-license are just up the road so your stay need not be teetotal. For evening meals there are some excellent pubs locally, one in walking distance and others only a few minutes drive away. The local fish and chip van parks up in the square on a Friday and Saturday night. You are most welcome to enjoy the garden during the day and sit on the sunny terrace for tea, coffee or a glass of wine (if you bring your own). Lynwood House is situated near the Fal river at the very edge of Tregony village. Historically, Tregony is known as the 'gateway to the Roseland'. The river is a popular place for bird watchers and there are some lovely riverside and woodland walks in the area.Well known for its countryside and quiet beaches, the peninsula has impressive coastal and river scenery and picturesque villages. Ultimately this road reaches the sea and St Mawes, a one time fishing village which is now a picturesque little harbour full of sailing boats. There are boat trips to various destinations and a passenger ferry that crosses regularly to Falmouth on the other side of the Fal estuary.Apart from enjoying the wonderful countryside, swimming in the pretty coves and lazing on the local beaches there is lots to do in Cornwall. The well known surfing beaches on the north coast are not far from Tregony, you can ride, bike, picnic, explore and above all relax. ... more   less
