Jill and Blair, who also farm, are the most welcoming of hosts. Hay Barton is a delight to stay at,relaxed and very comfortable. Close to lots of local beaches, pubs, restaurants and holiday activities. The breakfasts, which are amazing, set one up for the day. Afternoon fresh home baked cake and tea are also a great treat.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay with Jill and Blair having found their B&B on the Alastair Sawday website. We were greeted by Blair on arrival and shown where breakfast would be taken, the guest lounge, (set up with a huge range of teas and a homemade chocolate cake), and our room. We had requested the room...

We had been looking online for a B and B nearer the Lizard, but having stumbled across the Hay Barton website, we couldn't resist booking, not least because of the exceptional reviews! Well, here is another! We had three glorious nights and will most certainly return! Jill and Blair were wonderful hosts, Jill's breakfasts (and cakes and shortbread) were outstanding,...

Our stay at Hay Barton was short but perfect. We had not only a large and very well appointed bedroom and bathroom, but also a sitting room, with log fire, to relax in. This is where we ate the freshly made cake, which was a most welcome sight that greeted us on our arrival. The breakfast, consisting of exactly what...

Jill and Blair are wonderful hosts, they strike a perfect balance between exceptional hosts and family friends, as you would expect from a B&B, both B's were done very well; we had the most delicious breakfast, local produce cooked on request. Very well appointed room, comfortable kingsize bed with beautiful views of their cattle grazing, roll top bath in a...

Having stayed in another wonderful B&B on this trip we had high expectations for Hay Barton and it managed to exceed them all! The beautiful farmhouse is set on a hundred or so acres of Cornwall's beautiful countryside with the few acres around the house home to a few dozen grazing cows. After a warm greeting from Blair we were...

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 night break in Cornwall. I have a bed and breakfast myself and I fear that this made Jill slightly nervous but she need not have been. Jill and Blair's hospitality was exemplary in every way. They couldn't do enough for us. Their extensive knowledge of things to do in Cornwall was invaluable...

We have just returned from a short stay at Hay Barton. Jill and Blair greeted us with big smiles and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our room had a very large and comfy bed and the bathroom was luxurious. Add to this all the trimmings, such as sweetly scented toiletries, homemade...

We agree with all of Alicia and Martyn's comments as we stayed at the same time, but just a day longer. We enjoyed the daily banter with Jill and Blair and agree with the comments relating to the breakfasts and afternoon tea which were taken in a very comfortable sitting room. The accommodation was spotless, very comfortable and every bit...
